To me it's got punk attitude and I don't hate it. Her voice gets crazy and yeah, I think it's sexy.
I would like to trade my copy of Lotusflower for this.
Yup, songs like Dreamer, Boom, Colonized Mind ain't got nothing on this musical arrangement.

Those songs all sound so tired to me. It could be the sludgy mix, or maybe they're just not that interesting. This Nicki song isn't high art, but then again neither was Dirty Mind.

I don't know what in the world you're hearing but if you feel this Nicki song is somehow refreshing then we have HUGE MONUMENTOUS differences when it comes to tastes in music. There was also at the time Dirty Mind was released something new, raw and funky about its arrangements. AGain, if you feel the same way about this song then more power to you.
Dont get me wrong, sometimes I dont make a big deal over some songs, its catchy or cool, but I don't see what's catchy or engaging about this. Its the sameo crap from Nicki.

I'm really not that familiar with her at all but after digesting this one a time or 2 I really liked her punkish delivery. If I were currently 15 I think I'd probably really love it (I'm quite a bit older than that now. ) I like that it's raw and pretty low fi, and that makes me miss the Rude Boy days. Most people here really love Dreamer but I just can't stand the guitar sound and the drum sound and the plastic keyboard sound he's had for 20 some years now. Prince just sounds like an old guy who's painted himself in a corner with his finely dialed in Princeisms. And for whoever Nicki is she sounds like a new style Rude Girl to me.

Comparing Nicki Minaj to Prince is almost riduculous really, they are not in the same category, genre or musical talent or level. If you like the Punk way she raps then fine, but again, there is nothing unique, refreshing or interesting about this track or any of her other music, whereas in the Dirty Mind days, Prince was definately pushing the envelope not only with racy lyrics, but in his musical fusion of punk, rave, rock, funk and R&B. If you hear all that in this track like I said, we are galaxies apart in musical perception.
