Its refreshing that people are moving away from that.

It's amazing to me... some of these folks either can't read, or lack reading comprehension. Lionel's album has been subject to a massive promotional campaign. 20k of the albums sold were because of a Home Shopping Network promotion. He's been all over TV with this, and it's been a major push. Nothing wrong with that, good for him!

But some folks here are completely out of touch with reality.

Didn't Lionel do the late-night and morning talk show rounds? That's major mainstream promotion.

Both of them promoted their albums their own ways. Madonna with the tour, Lionel with HSN. It won them big sales.

Instead of thinking it's a conspiracy or excusing another artist, just congratulate them both.
