The Alternative Brits 2003

I've ranted enough about the poor state of the Brit awards 2003 so here are my alternatives. Who would you have given awards to?

British male solo artist: Badly Drawn Boy
British female solo artist: Ms Dynamite
British album: Ms Dynamite
British group: Oasis
British single: Sugababes, Freak Like Me
British urban act: Ms Dynamite
British dance act: Chemical Brothers
British breakthrough artist: Turin Brakes
Pop act: Sugababes
International male solo artist: Eminem
International female solo artist: Missy Elliott
International album: Red Hot Chili Peppers
International group: Red Hot Chili Peppers
International breakthrough artist: Norah Jones
Outstanding contribution to music: George Harrison

I don't know enough about all British acts, but I definitely agree on the Badly Drawn Boy and Oasis choices you made! I love BDB and I can't seem to get enough from those Gallagher brothers.

None of the artists nominated inspire me enough to vote. Would just be voting for the "least worst". biggrin

Alicia Keys' album was 2001 by the way.

Oasis kicks ass. I just heard that they are re-releasing a 10 year anniversery edition of Definitely Maybe with some rare stuff on it. Madferrit! Noel is a genius.
