What happened to this chick? Didn't she used to date Jay-Z or something? It's like she came out with that song, and an album and then flat out disappeared.

Seriously I wondered where she went. This seemed like such a cool song back in the day. Used to get a lot of radio play in my hometown.

AND SAY! That girl in the back seat of the car looks like Bobbi Kristina.

Apparently she did date him and this song was allegedly suppose to be about him... but yea she do fall way off...

Yea its sad because this is my jam... and it still gets pretty good radio play around my way to and in the CLUB.. That girl does look like Bobbi!!!

She came out with a second album too but it flopped and musically it wasn't as

good as her first.

I agree. Her 2nd album was horrible. I still don't get why she couldn't sustain a career? She had a voice and was fine as hell. Maybe she couldn't dance, or f-ed up with an exec or something.

I remember when she did that reality show in the circus, she was a real bitch.

I loved both those songs (even the Sean Paul version). I loved that she had that sort of jazzy touch to the tracks. To me, they seem like the end of an era of really great pop R&B, which really just fizzled during the rest of the decade - mostly due to cheesey auto-tuned Black Eyed Peas nonsesne.

and after that she sort of went the Playboy route since pop culture was really into the Baywatch Babe turned Playmate archtype back then. It didn't really pan out for her though. Pity she never hit big because she's a damn good singer with fantastic technique. That's the kind of voice that should have a career with longevity and an audience that grows old right along with the singer

Well she did sign with J Records... they weren't gonna promote her when all they were promoting was Alicia Keys and it wasn't like she was gonna get far anyway with everyone thinking she was Faith Evans' sister or something. I sometimes think Faith's "You Gets No Love" was directed at Blu (for some reason).

Yes the pics were just your run of the mill shots for Black Tail magazine before she

became famous and she didn't look like she did when she started singing. She had

jet black hair when she did the shoot for Black Tail magazine.
