Exactly! I have toe problems but nothing like this! If I had his kind of money I would have a surgeon correct that ASAP. Must be afraid of surgeons like my Grandma was.

My Gramma had one toe crossing over the big toe on both feet just because she refused to go to a podiatrist! I'm keeping a cocked eye on my toes cause I ain't gonna end up like Gramma or Steven Tyler! It's called "hammer toe" by the way...

Naw, that's heriditary--from fucked up family genes. If you don't fix it with orthotics and surgery you end up with feet like that! Wearing high heels makes it worse, but I don't think Steve ever wore high heels did he? As for the toe nail polish, he might be hiding toe nail fungus...

Slow news day? Steven has never cared much about his appearence.

It's actually not funny. Steven had painful surgery on his feet and I'm sure that's a side effect from it. I'm glad that he's still able to move and sing like he does!

Even with "years of being a high-flying showman" that shit is heriditary--I know. Not everyone who does what Tyler does ends up with feet like that.

What's Wrong with Steven Tyler's Feet (Besides the Toenail Polish)?

In our latest installment of Ailments of Aging Rock Stars, we describe one thing that can happen to your feet after jumping around on stage for decades.

In 2008, Tyler underwent surgery on his feet "to correct long-time foot injuries resulting from his trademark athletic performance onstage." He had been diagnosed with a condition called Morton's neuroma, and was told by his orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Brian McKeon, that it would require a number of surgeries to repair.

As Steven put it in his book Does the Noise in My Head...oll Memoir:

What they had to do was to cut some bone and take two knuckles out of my feet. They also took out a ganglion of nerves. The nerves that are in your feet are small as a dime, but mine were the size of a quarter, big and bulbous and traumatized to the point where they had to be taken out ... so now there's just phantom pain there, like a guy who gets his arm cut off and still feels his fingers.

The post-surgical pain was so bad, the he found himself back in rehab. As he told People magazine:

The 'foot repair' pain was intense, greater than I'd anticipated. The months of rehabilitative care and the painful strain of physical therapy were traumatic. I really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet.

Tyler also intimated that he took his current gig on American Idol partially as a way to slow down, get off the road, and rest his chronically painful feet.
