Thought's On Pearl Jam VS?

smile

In a way i guess this can be called there ''Around The World In A Day''

They just came off beyond massive success with Ten, and they decided to do little to no promotion & of course pretty much said hell no to music videos. I love this album, i feel it's much darker than Ten & the lyrics are some of Eddie's all time best.

Lot's of accoustic ballads as well as even some funk elements on song's like blood!

It never resonated with me in the same way as Ten, but it was still a great album in my opinion, instead of the 5/5 starts of Ten it was more a 3.5-4/5. A few classics were produced on it.

Change it one more time..

I found it much better than Ten, Ten had some amazing songs on it, but besides the hits it was mostly filler. VS was great from start to finish

although Ten is awesome, i love Vs, i think it's aged really well and stands well next to the brilliant Backspacer. smile

I was never a massive Pearl Jam fan but I do have all of their albums up to Binaural. It had probably been about ten years since I listened to vs. until I recently picked up the box set with Vitalogy and the live album. It was much better than I remembered it. They really lost me with No Code but the first three albums still hold up.

I think the biggest difference between Ten and vs. is the sound. Ten sounds terribly slick and polished compared to vs. and Vitalogy. I haven't heard the remixed version of Ten but if they went to the trouble of remixing it they must be bothered by the sound of it too.

I know they went off a bit but Backspacer is tremendous, if you like the first 3 it's a must smile

I think the same! first time hearign VS i was like FUCK THIS SHIT lol

But it is a lot more accoustic and down n dirty. And somehow with almost no promotion & no videos it sold 7 million copies..... idk how that would happen nowaday's lol

Well, it sold almost a million copies in it's first week so they were about as hot as you get.
