You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Part of being a great frontman is connecting with the audience. Paul had some of the greatest stage raps ever. Just listen to People, Let Me Get This Off My Chest.

Totally agree. Freddie had more talent in his baby finger than these two guys put together.

I just saw Van Halen 2 weeks ago. Eddie was amazing as always, Roth sucked. He can't sing worth shit.

Cut Paul a little slack. Freddie did not have two hundred pounds of Gene Simmons dragging his ass down.

Well, if we are going outside of the three names already mentioned Mick Jagger and Robert Plant are two obvious candidates.

If Freddy were still with us, I'd be front and center right now!

Paul Stanley is a whole different animal, I mean, he's first and foremost a guitarist, then a singer, and finally a frontman; back in the 70s (golden era of Kiss), you could say that Kiss had THREE frontmen: Gene, Paul and Ace

I'd personally say that Freddie is Nº1 (the guy was amazing during his entire stage career), Jagger a close second, and then probably Roth, followed closely by Steven Tyler and Axl Rose...

Of that bunch Freddie easily, Dave is still too funny, and Paul is cool, but the music isn't on par to make him a great showman. Add Michael Hitchence and Steven Tyler to this list and it gets tougher
