ditto - as we we wish The Queen of Soul a Happy Birthday today, a few tidbits: she has just signed with Clive Davis, the Chairman at Sony Music Entertainment. They are meeting next month to collaborate on what her next album will be. It has been reported she wants to do something with Ne-Yo and Akon as producers/writers and a duet with Al Greem; and Clive wants he to do an album of the music of Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughn. Wonder who will win? LOL Additionally Ms. Franklin has shows scheduled in Cleveland, OH; Richmond, KY; Kansas City, KS; and New Orleans, LA (headlining the Essence Fest); and she is California bound for performances on the West Coast, marking only her fourth trip west since 1983 (after a 21 year gap).
