Does anyone know any other online sites, besides ebay,gemm and music stack, that have super rare records? I have been looking for Hollywood star byRick james & hot lips for almost 5 years and I can't find the damn thing. Does anyone have this or heard it?

Wow,I never knew about this single.I know he did a few early singles in the 70s ("My Mama" in 1974...."Get Up And Dance" in 1976) but I never heard "Hollywood Star".How does it sound?

I wonder if this could be an early version of "Hollywood",which appeared on his 1978 debut album?

Rick and Hot Lips released a song titled "Hollywood Star Part 1 and 2'' back in '76(?). It's very rare and I've yet to hear it.

Wow...there are so many rare Rick James songs,before he released his 1978 debut album.Let's hope we get a box set someday that collects alot of these rarities.There are also a few unreleased albums that I've heard of.....a 1972 rock album with The Great White Cane,and a 1989 album called 'Kickin'.

The Great White Cane album was released and the original proto-type band of white cane called Heaven and Earth released two singles with two backing songs all rerecorded with white cane, except for Rip off 1500. Kickin's was released as a promo in the UK.
