One of the earlier Latin Freestyle records. There used to be a local video channel that would show the video quite often. But they would show Take My Breath Away by Berlin literally every 15 minutes for awhile. I got tired of hearing it (Berlin) pretty quickly. lol

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

This is just too weird. I was just thinking of this song yesterday and how I wanted to add it to my ipod. Believe I have the album. The single is the bomb. I loved it as a kid. The album is pure bubble gum freestyle/pop. It's cheesy but cute. File under guilty embarassing pleasure. Now I definitely have to put it on my Ipod.

Im not afraid to admit this song is on my Ipod. Its cheesy as hell but I was crazy for synth pop back then. This record is still cool but I could can do without the video. Lol

Was he British?

No he wasn't a Brit. I think he was from NY! I agree the video is ridiculous but the song is great. I still love it!!

I remember this song lol The 80s was such a fun time, wasn't it?

I don't know too much about this guy,but he had another hit in 1987.It's an excellent duet with a singer named Monet...

"Leave The Lights On" by Money with Nolan Thomas (1987)

FACT: The real Nolan Thomas is a black man. The man that lip-syncing Nolan's vocals in the video is NOT Nolan.

Yes, there was some straight up pre-Milli Vanilli shit going on at the time.

From what I understand, that's partly true. The guy in the video (Marko Kalfa) is the real singer on all of the songs on the album except this one. Marko wrote for other acts too.

Really? Wow this is scandalous? So that's not the guy on the cover of the album singing? What was the point of that?? Well whoever the hell sang it, I love the song!! Thanks to this thread i've been rocking the whole album all week. Good cheesy fun and great beats. What do you guys think of the rest of the album??

I just want to know if you have a pic of the real 'Nolan Thomas'? If this was a Milli Vanilli issue because he didnt fit the mold of what a pop star should look like for MTV Ex. Martha Washington/Seduction/BlackBox

I wish I had a picture to prove the point. I'll get back to you if I ever find it.
