Reminds me of the period I met Kanye. He told me he wrote a lot of trax on there. But was not credited, do to his new status as a producer back then.

He later a few months later met Prince on the show "The View", when Prince came on there to give all the host (including a star struck Sherri Shepherd) tickets to his upcoming mega show in NY, 4 the mega successful W2A tour... Trey just happen to be per4ming on that show that day & Prince gave him good advice backstage. So Prince obviously wasn't bothered of Trey's lackluster cover of PR on the BET Awards..

I could see Jill Scott or Marsha doing one of her famous "Baby Making Songs." Kind of hard imagining Ciara not doing something upbeat for Jan. I'm sure Kelly Rowland would love to be apart of something like this. What she would sing? Haven't the slightest....Maybe Usher or Chris Brown or Tonex for that matter, all of which have publically expressed their love and appreciation of her influence in their career. Tonex have actually submitted songs for her before but to no avail. He I think would be a pleasant surprise and a great choice performance wise to do something. Britney Spears is an obvious choice too considering Janet's obvious influence in her stage persona and dance. But she's been phoning it in for her own concerts so, she probably wouldn't be a good choice.

As I think about it, I would like to see a tribute that covers the gamut of her various styles. So. a funky uptempo joint, a social conscious record, a love ballad, a sexy slow jam, a fun, light-hearted song.

I don't know, we'll see. Hell, the girl haven't even accepted the honor yet
