Iggy Pop is nearly 65, so you have to forgive him a few "old man shouting at the kids" moments anyway, and they're easier to forgive when the points dude is making are actually pretty cogent.

In a recent video posted on the Record Store Day website Iggy talks about his history with vinyl records and working in record stories.

In a particularly damning passage, he says that music in the modern age is "sort of like those cheap drinks you get in a bad supermarket where it says, 'Contains 10% juice.'"

He goes on: "It reminds me of how crappy it was to turn on American Bandstand in the '50s... and see all the endless, gutless, dickless imitations of Elvis that the American industry decided to push on the kids."

What does his face have to do with what was said other than to corroborate his point?

Think past your 10% juice bullshit and maybe you'll learn something... What he said was entirely on point and he's got the experience and knowledge to back it up.

Another thing that has little to do with his message. Can any of you stay on point or are you just gonna make his argument for him?

1. Music is opinionated

2. All Iggy does anymore is scream on a stage shirtless so he's not really one to be talking

I checked out this DVD from the library about a month ago. It's an animated movie in French, but Iggy does one of the voices for the US English dub. It's an interesting movie.

I completely agree with his statement, can't think of a better way to describe the music of today, Iggy is a legend and a genius.

I dont think I could have said it any better than that. And you people are so childish. Always trying to find meaningless things to bash the truth. He could look like a Carolina cricket, that still wouldnt change his views which are true. His looks has nothing to do with his opinion.
