Why Michelle Visage (of Seduction & The Soul System) never had a solo career?!?

Maybe I'm reaching too much into this. But I think Michelle Visage had the potential to make it as a solo dance artist (two albums career at least) if her main producers C+C weren't obsess with throwing individuals together to make groups (C+C Music Factory, Seduction, The S.O.U.L. S.Y.S.T.E.M.) all the damn time.

Michelle is the tall blond. Back in the 1989-90, it's was hard to tell if she was white or latina. But who cares, I like the tall cuties. cool

both of those "groups" barely had careers, let alone trying to eek out one for their rather anonymous lead singer.

The only reason why Seduction broke up is because all 3 of the girls never liked each other to begin with. Remember, this group was basically 3 individuals that were throwed together by C+C as an attempt to have their own version of The Cover Girls and/or Expose so to speak.

Wasn't April (black lady) the lead most of Seduction's songs? The other two became hosts on MTV shows.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Michelle Visage always seemed like a low-rent Madonna to me. She has a great voice and is a great dancer, but her image is very Madonna. That may be because Madonna stole the NY girl look and Visage looks like she was transplanted right from the Bronx, but nevertheless...

A talented person who only has access to b-level projects is gonna suffer. Thankfully she's had her best squirrelfriend Ru to help her along over the decades. lol

Didnt Madonna had something to do with stifling her career? Didnt Madonna accuse her of stealing her look and sound? Michelle definitly should've gotten a chance to release an album or two even club singer "Amber" was hot for a period of time

I don't know why she never had a solo career, but I love that first Seduction album Nothing Matters Without Love lol One of the best dance/pop albums of the late 80s.

April Harris was the primary vocalist for most of tracks. nod But on track, Two to Make It Right, Michelle & April were co-leads. Idalis DeLeón only did backing vocals.

And then there is the controversy concerning (You're My One and Only) True Love, in which Martha Walsh was on lead vocals and never gotten credit for it, hence resulting in a lawsuit filed against C+C.

Two of Hearts was my jam, though!!! lol

Kylie was a bit of a Madonna clone too, huh? She's kind of had the staying power, but she reminds me of Madonna to this day.

Stacey never made me think of Madonna, but Regina & Alisha did.
