SMH: Bobby Brown Popped By One-Time For DUI
Posted on March 26th, 2012 - By b.s/kCOOL

Bobby Brown Arrested For Driving Under The Influence
If you thought Bobby Brown’s legal problems were a thing of the past, think again.
According to TMZ reports:
Bobby Brown has just been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Bobby was pulled over in Reseda, CA at 12:20 PM PST for allegedly driving while talking on a cell phone.
We’re told 43-year-old Bobby is currently in custody in Van Nuys jail. It’s unclear what substance cops believe Brown had been using before he got behind the wheel.
Whitney Houston’s ex-husband already has a DUI conviction on his record stemming from an arrest in Georgia in 1996. He eventually pled guilty to DUI and served 8 days in jail.
Update: 1:54 PM PST — Sources close to the singer tell us … Bobby’s “people” are en route to the jail to bail him out.

I see you don't care for Bobby.
I do! I loved two albums of him. I'm just saying he didn't achieve that much to make him interesting.
With Tina's movie for example, there was a lot of drama too, but she grew out of the mess...that's what made the movie interesting. Tina is an inspiration. Bobby? Not so much
I agree.Sure,he had one big album ('Don't Be Cruel') but he's not exactly a cultural icon or major superstar.I doubt that a biopic on him would do very well at the box office. |

You could say that for just about every movie about a singer There was nothing really interesting about the stories of Loretta, Tina, Ray, Etta, Temptations, Jacksons, Johnnie etc except that it was Loretta, Tina, Ray, Etta, Temptations, Jackson, Johnnie etc etc. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired! |

I disagree. The Tina Turner biopic ('What's Love Got To Do With It') was amazing, and so were the Temptations and Jacksons movies.Bobby Brown is not in their league. |

Yes we do disagree. But because all the hype in the Tina biopic was about Angela's body, the rape scene in the studio, and when she fought back. That was about it. The Jacksons movie is laugh out loud funny too many times with horrid acting and dialogue...the kids get a whopping and Michael torches his Soul Glow...end of movie. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired! |

Both Tina's films and the Jacksons' films left a WHOLE LOT to be desired. I was told Tina was pissed at the film... |

I heard that also. My point is that all movies about singers are basically the same story and the only why we even care is because they are singers. Right now, there's a random chick maybe in the church choir or the local music scene who is living the same lifeof abuse and fear that Tina lived. And we won't know about it and don't even care. So IMO all the headscratching about the possiblity of a B. Brown movie is weird. His life is the stuff Hollyweird movies are made of.

I would give Bobby two big albums. The followup to Don't Be Cruel was better imo just
not as popular but it spawned 3 pretty good singles. You're right however in that he's not
a major superstar and having a biopic on him just wouldn't be box office material imo. His
run only lasted 2 albums. He would probably do well to write a book on his life. Don't laugh at my funk

Frankie Lymon? Dude had what ONE good song that everybody knows a la Brown's "My Prerogative". And almost nobody was checking for Etta's "At Last" until they cast Beweavce. I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired! |

I totally disagree. Bobby's career started with New Edition. He was a young boy that made it out of poverty in the hood. Then went into stardom as a child to teens in New Edition. Then had major solo success. Then married the top pop singer of the world at the time & concieved a daughter with her & did a reality show. Not many can claim all of that. Then to top all of that off. She died a tragic death. Plus to add all the trouble he got into(Which people love to see) That is all part of Bobby's life.It would make a drama filled movie. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. |

I agree with you on Lymon having a very short music career but the movie was more
about his relationship with 3 women including Zola Taylor(The Platters) which probably
made it a little more intriguing but the movie was a dud pretty much. You should google
Etta James she had more of a career than you would think and she was pretty damn popular
especially during her Chess years. Don't laugh at my funk
