Holy shit. I could not have loved this group more if I tried. Does anybody remember Culture Beat? They shared a songwriter. At the time I loved Culture Beat more, but now that I'm older I really appreciate Captain Hollywood more. (Although I still love CB.) smile Compared with other Eurodance groups of the time, both actually had something to say.

And I see all of your creations as one perfect complex

I was listening to Mr. Vain last night, was crazy about that song. Also loved Captain Hollywood though they got little airplay. I guess they are more trancy, but I never really thought about it, and it resonates well with me.

God, in high school I was known for loving Mr. Vain. Another thing I realized when I was older was that the video for that song was vaguely perverted. biggrin One of my friends requested Mr. Vain for me at prom, and my friend and I gave a tape of it to some guy who we thought was an arrogant douchehound. smile I think their shared songwriter was Nosie Katzmann? Animals and Human was also a great album, but not as amazing as Love is Not Sex. My favorite on that album was Impossible.

Also, on a weird note? Out of like 7,000 songs on my current mp3 player, it just started playing the Underground Mix of More and More. WTF CLEMENTINE MUSIC PLAYER STOP READING MY MIND THAT IS NOT WHY I DOWNLOADED YOU.

It's pretty awesome when you have musical telepathy isn't it? lol

Also, I listened to the lyrics of DJ Bobo's Love Is All Around awhile back and watched the video, and for some reason, I don't like them together at all. Just having the song without the video and ignoring the rap made it so much more innocent sounding at a young age smile

Haha, if only it were me. It seems that my computer is the telepathic one. Apparently it's Captain Hollywood Day according to said computer, because now it has decided I must listen to Only With You. I sometimes wonder if some players have some sort of algorithm for what you skip and don't skip, because it seems like it plays Captain Hollywood a lot, even though he's a tiny fraction of my playlist. All I can think of is that it's because I don't skip his stuff a lot, if ever. I don't know; all this is extremely drunken speculation. guinness

I don't think I've ever seen the Love is All Around video. I think I'll watch it sometime when I'm more sober -- I have a real love-hate relationship with DJ Bobo. I always feel like his stuff would have been better if he'd just found somebody else to do the rap verses. He didn't necessarily suck as a producer, but it usually sounds like it because his rapping is so...well....white Swiss boy?

Also, in looking for a good emoticon to enhance and/or illustrate the phrase "white Swiss boy," I just realized there is a llama emoticon available. In what situation would one need a LLAMA emoticon on Prince.org? whofarted
