I read up on them. Am I now officially allowed to call them unimportant?

It seems these R&B groups from the '80s and '90s keep going back and forth with each other...

Why is the 90's groups so hated on this site and I won't say black groups cause some of the white pop groups. It's like if they sing R&B or pop they are hated mostly if they came out during the 21st century and maybe some before correct if I'm wriong.

Hmm, hated is a strong word...
More like wondering to me... like why you come together to break up again? I don't get it with either of them: 112, Guy, Blackstreet, etc.

And mind you I grew up diggin' these guys too but when they stopped, so did my attention span. Best luck to them though.

hate?
more like intense apathy.

Not you but maybe others look at the the one who posted after you. Some folks act like pricks and hate is not a strong word in this case cause I see some attack artists for the person they are and music but I'm not talking about you and some people are just racist people but I don't mind. I may not listen to a artist but I'm not going to say fuck them or something just cause it's not my taste. Actually I've grown to appreciate all types of music artists for what they do except when they try to hard to force a gay agenda on us and call it being different or something

anonymous, bland groups of guys singing generic pseudo r&b? yeah. you're right, we do.
it's the only way to make them entertaining or worth talking about. [Edited 3/20/12 18:58pm]

nursev said: The Bad Boy curse I wouldn't say that. "Peaches & Cream" was just as successful as those songs and "It's Over Now" is their biggest hit. They're gonna have to be very creative to even get folks to take an interest in them again. We can all agree on this point. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

BIG, 112 and Faith were the only ones who had more success in Bad Boy. Nonetheless they still struggled to fit in this industry and they did have problems with Puffy near the end of their Bad Boy contract...

There you have it Timmy. It seems like there is an announcement every other month about Guy or Blackstreet getting back together then fall out before it ever happens or some former members pulling some Temptations shit and touring on there own(although i can't blame Mark Middleton and a few others cuz Teddy will flip on your ass before you can say Howdy Doody just ask Aaron and Damion). People are just tired of the nonsense and it seems a few of them are just doing it because others groups are reuniting and they don't wanna miss out on 15 more minutes of fame if there is any left. I'd rather see Shai get back together.I really like their 1992 debut album
But seriously, there were so many of these R&B boy groups in the 90s that it was hard for any of them to really stand out. Most of them had the same style, look and sound. That's why they all faded away after a certain point.Shai was the best of the bunch, though (IMO).

Shai never broke up just two original membes left Carl Martin & Marc Gay. They still tour & working on new material it's coming with Garfield Bright, Darnell Van Rensalier, & replacement members D'Wayne Jones, & George Spencer aka G-Fly from the groups Riff & Men Of Vizion. D'Wayne was in both Riff & the 2nd edition of Men Of Vizion & George is a original Men Of Vizion member & part of the new edition of Men Of Vizion as well
