That was told by Chaka in her book, supposedly she replaced him in some club because he hurt himself. I don't know what are the exact circumstances.

Crazy.

Apparently, GG's favourite drink was lemon tea, he doted on animals of a fluffy nature, and at one point had a very big stamp collection that his mother kept so he could not sell it for heroin.

Yes, that cover is much more silly than offensive. The shock rock acts were all so silly (Gwar?) I never understood how anyone could take them seriously.

Another thing I never understood was the fear that Heavy Metal was the Music of the Devil. Many parents actually believed that Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson were evil? That just seems comical to me.

lol

That's what i'm saying! i mean W.A.S.P Before they got into there political records. They had long goofy hair, always made funny faces & looked like a parody group. And GWAR i like them... not a huge fan but if your telling me people used to think they where really ''satanic'' lol

What?

Of course it offended folks. This was in the middle of Reaganomics. lol

Hell they couldn't get past this cover in '94 because the Black Crowes got shit for a similar cover for amorica.

C'mon now Guns... lol

It sure as hell did! lol nod The USA's bible belt region were up in arms over plenty of heavy metal bands. WASP, Motley Crue, Ozzy, Judas Priest, and Slayer were the main targets back in the days.

The thing is, did Middle America had a total block before 1980? The 70s with its drugs experimentations and sexual revolution got reflected into their music acts, how did they react to those acts?

You got Iggy Pop who literally pissed on his audience, wouldn't that trump the nun rape act? lol

it always depends on who is doing what, and who is watching

I think if Marilyn Manson tore a picture of the pope, maybe nobody would be shocked as they were when Sinead did it.

If Justin Bieber or Will Smith made the slightest controversial comment, it would be blown out of proportion, but Eminem can pretty much say anything he wants at this point.
