As one of few reigning pop monarchs left, many have been keen on Queen of Pop Madonna‘s thoughts on the passing of pop icon Whitney Houston.

While for years the two were touted as rivals as they dominated 80s and 90s charts with few comparison, Madge took to UK paper The Sun to remember the ‘I Will Always Love You’ singer and also share her thoughts on late “blue eyed soulstress” Amy Winehouse.

“I, probably like everybody else, was hit by this shocking sense of disbelief – especially with Whitney Houston. It had not been a secret, the struggles Amy had been through — both brilliant, brilliant artists and obviously both huge losses.

“One thing I was struck by with Whitney Houston is I remember she sort of came out as a singer around the same time I did. I remember looking at her singing and hearing people talk about her, and just thinking, ‘Oh my God. She’s such a beautiful woman and my God, what an incredible voice. I wish I could sing like that.’

I just remember being extremely envious of her and also touched by her innocence.

“I was watching a documentary about Serge Gainsbourg, the French songwriter, and there’s a famous talk show he did that happened a while back when Whitney was just starting. It was funny, because I’d just watched it the week before she died, where he was making a kind of play for her on national television and he was basically saying in French that he wanted to ‘f’ her — and the look of shock on her face…

“I mean, she was so innocent and so young, and so cute, and really she blushed. And I was thinking, ‘We are all innocent at one stage in our life. It’s just interesting, the paths our lives take. I was struck by that — how well she started and where she ended up and the tragedy of it.”

Good of Madonna to acknowledge Whitney. That dude was real bold in his attraction for Whitney. He was straight forward in what he wanted to do to her... ....Whitney had that kind of beauty..

If its true, it is probably more of a reflection of how long they've known each other. Sounds like its only the general public that's new to the table on this relationship. Who knows?....Whitney might have given her blessing for them to be together romantically anyway. Again, who knows?....

If the National Enquirer can be believed, the man who took the picture of Whitney's body at the casket and sold it to the Enquirer was a close family friend:

Raffles Van Exel (Pat allowed Raffles to ride with them at the funeral home). He was also around Michael Jackson.

Both are died. Pure coincidence or something darker?

If this is true, Whitney's family is protecting him.

Honestly? I really dont see what the big deal is. He is not her adopted brother, blood related brother or even her stepbrother. I see this as the media once again making a mountain out of a molehill, they want to create scandal around Bobbi Kristina so badly so they throw this story out there and make sure to put the words Whitney's unofficially adopted son in the headlines. Um, "unofficially adopted" means NOT ADOPTED! This is a non-story. Bottom line, Bobbi and Nick do not share the same DNA. So Whitney took him in when he was younger and he was a part of her family. What's the big deal? He may have been only like a son to Whitney, but he is not her actual son. Its not like the Woody Allen mess is going on here.

How is this any different from two very close families whose kids grow up with each other, spend a lot of time at each others homes, took vacations together, spent the night, etc. and then one day the daughter from the Smith family and the son from the Williams family fall in love with each other, date and decide to get married? Honestly, if the press had referred to Nick as a long time houseguest or close family friend instead of "unofficial adopted brother", people wouldnt be all up in arms because its a non-story. But for some reason people are only focusing on the words "adopted brother" which screams out from the headlines! The phrase "unofficially adopted" makes about as much sense as the phrase "kinda pregnant." Either you are or you arent, there is no in-between.

I dont think Bobbi and Nick dating each other is weird or sick or gross, actually it makes a lot of sense. Bobbi grew up with Nick so she is very familiar with him. She just unexpectedly lost her mother, plus she has to deal with her grief in the public eye and deal with a malicious, scandal-hungry media that's stalking her every move, just waiting for her to stumble or the least bit of scandal so they can pounce on her like a rabid dog on a piece of meat. Its not strange that her and Nick's relationship would take this route after going through a tragedy. They both shared something in common: Whitney. Whitney was a mother to Bobbi and like a mother to Nick. They both loved Whitney and now that she's gone, maybe they both feel that they only have each other to turn to. When unexpected tragedy happens to people, they usually will grab onto something familiar for a sense of stability in the midst of the madness and pain. So maybe for Bobbi, her anchor is Nick, an unrelated, close friend of the family that she grew up with. Just my

What can I decide from this? It seems gossipy, but I guess the public needs to know the bullshit. No one is asking me to make a choice for these people, so I don't want to say what they should do. However, if Bobbi Kristina takes some time to think about what just happened and what steps she needs to take to ensure herself a bright and healthy future, I think she would realize that this guy probably is not for her. There is plenty of time for her to date and find love and plenty of wonderful men to choose from. I personally think that she is making a mistake, but to each their own.

Oh my god, it's just none of our business though. This disturbs me. Leave the child alone, give her space. Now they have an excuse to follow her around and invade her life like they did to her mother. And all I know is that he wouldn't be engaged to her if she didn't want to, no one has that much control over a woman...well, I am not sure if that is a sound argument.
