Bout fuckin' time!!!! I kept wondering when or if he would come forward especially with the constant footage from the film The Bodyguard and the repeated plays of IWALY!

The memorials and tributes are lovely but Lauryn Hill was right in that Whitney should have been honored while she was alive. Well, at least BET honored her last year I think.

I also want to say that until the toxicology reports are released we should refraind from any assumptions that she OD'd. We often forget that drugs and alchohol do damage to our bodies long before we actually expire.

That's good about Kevin attending the funeral and speaking.

In better news, Whitney's 1992 hit "I Will Always Love You" returned to the Billboard Hot 100 top ten for the first time since 1993 reaching number 7. It's the seventeenth week the song has been on the top ten.

I said in the other thread that the way her death transpired, it sounds more like an accident. Presumably a lethal mix of pills and alcohol, much like the death of Def Leppard's Steve Clark 20 years before.

On Another Note: I know its not about the singing but there will be some serious singers honoring her that day. Between Aretha, Stevie, not to mention Marvin Winans. I know Pastor Winans is on paper officially doing the eulogy but if dude starts singing its over.

That is good Kevin is speaking a eulogy @ the funeral. He is the reason Whitney recorded "I will Always Love U" Her biggest hit..

That's a good question.

Kevin was one of the music supervisor for THE BODYGUARD. Whitneys version of IWALY is based around the Linda Rondstat version not Dollys.

Bounce TV said it plans to broadcast singer Whitney Houston's funeral in its entirety with no commercials on Saturday.

The new network aimed at African Americans might be the only broadcast outlet to air the funeral uninterrupted. Bounce's coverage will begin at noon ET, 9 a.m. PT.

Do you all think we'll be getting a new Whitney album? I'm not sure if she has very many unreleased records...

I don't know but I do know whatever material they got, they'll be trying to release it. I don't care if its just an EP worth of stuff, they'll be putting it out. Get ready for some special editions of her earlier work too.

Funerals are boring and morbid. I won't be watching.

Thank you I've never understood the whole displaying of the body and walking past it one last time. My parents are fully aware that when their time comes, the last place I will be is looking at them in a box while everyone tells me how good they look.

I'm ready for the new material so I can have more to treasure from one of the greatest to ever do it. I hate that it happens under these circumstances.

YES Lauryn!!! Whitney should have been given her respect and just due while she was alive......... she been saying for the last decade that she just wanted to be left alone yet the media kept fucking with her. Just a shame.

Most people don't know that certain prescription drugs or even otc drugs can be lethal when mixed with alchohol. I myself have taken otc pain killers with a glass of wine just to help me sleep but of course now I know better. I think it was an accident like you said, especially if she was found only half way in the tub.

That's a good question.

I remember the rumors about the two of them and even though it was said Kevin personally requested Whitney for the role and even though he was a known womanizer at the time, I don't think Whitney would have jeopardized her reputation in that way. Plus, if Michael J. Fox and Robert Dinero couldn't break her, I doubt Kevin could. Seriously, can somebody tell me what is sexy about that man? Anyone?

Right. Whitney had bad nerves, which could explain why she seemed "out of it" at the party on February 9th.

If they don't continue with the special editions like the debut got, it would at least be nice to have a CD collection of her b-sides and non-album tracks.

Throughout the highs and lows of Whitney Houston's tumultuous life, one person was a constant fan: her godmother, soul great Aretha Franklin.

"We were all aware of her challenges," Franklin, 69, says exclusively in the new issue of PEOPLE. "And I was always rooting for her."

Franklin recalls being thrilled with her goddaughter's triumphant return to the silver screen. "Seeing previews for the new Sparkle movie I thought, boy she looks good, healthy, fresh and has that twinkle in her eyes!"

For Houston, it may have been a struggle to keep her career on track, "but in looking back now, I recall her European tour: Still exciting, but unable to sing what she wanted to had to be disheartening," says Franklin, who has also shared Houston memories on her Facebook and Twitter. "And yet she stood night after night and endured unappreciative audiences with the heart of a champion."

Whitney was indeed a beautiful woman especially in her early twenties. No question why she was handpicked to be a model. She definitely had the looks for it. I used to have a crush on her. In fact, she and Janet were my first real celebrity crushes. I used to always imagine me being married to her. When Bobby married her, I was pissed off.
