That is the only way I listen to music. I have playlists on my phone [mp3 player], and if I don't like a song on an album, it gets taken off. If I love a non-album track, it gets thrown on. If the album is only half-good (or less), it gets combined in my playlist with songs from another album.

For starters, my MJ - HIStory playlist (since you made one):

1. Scream

2. They Don't Care About Us

3. Stranger In Moscow

4. Morphine

5. Earth Song

6. Blood On The Dance Floor (Refugee Camp Mix)

7. Another Day

8. You Are Not Alone

9. HIStory

10. Little Susie

11. Smile

... "Another Day" was thrown on since "MICHAEL" is messy, and it fits well alongside "You Are Not Alone" imo..

[P.S. I hope this thread doesn't get lock ed and redirected to the MJ sticky.. lol ..................... neutral ]

Michael Jackson - Dangerous

1. Jam

2. In The Closet

3. Remember The Time

4. For All Time

5. Heal The World

6. Black Or White

7. Who Is It?

8. Give In To Me

9. Someone Put Your Hand Out

10. Will You Be There?

11. Keep The Faith

12. Dangerous

Prince - 1999

1. D.M.S.R.

2. Little Red Corvette

3. Delirious

4. Let's Pretend We're Married

5. Irresistible Bitch

6. How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?

7. Lady Cab Driver

8. All The Critics Love U In New York

9. Free

Removed "Something In The Water" and "International Lover" because I don't like them... added in 2 B-Sides, because they're two of my all time favorites. Removed the title track because it's meh.. and "Automatic" because it's meh when compared to the other 8 minute long tracks, like "DMSR" and "Let's Pretend We're Married". "Free" was placed at the end, as it's a better closing track than "All The Critics..."

Prince - The Gold Experience

1. P. Control

2. Days Of Wild

3. Hide The Bone

4. Da Bang

5. Love Sign

6. The Most Beautiful Girl In The World

7. Dolphin

8. Shy

9. I Hate U

10. Gold

The "Gold" era produced about 2 full discs worth of material, most of which was pretty good, but these songs were my favorites.

I'd heard that "Da Bang" was originally intended for Emancipation, but it fits better here.

I used to sometimes play side 2 of Gap Band V first. I also did that with the rarities compilation picture disc Monkee Business.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That's one of my favorite Michael songs, but I do hate Dr. Freeze on the chorus though

I love this thread!!! I do this often (since we can edit tracklistings by +/- tracks using our mp3players/ipods/etc)

my fav is this one:

I basically added "Sincerity" where it was

intended to be at first (as track 02)

before the label removed it

and I replaced the album version of "I'm In Love"

with the full version that doesn't fade out

(found on the vinyl copy of this album)

and "Almost Gone" with Lalah Hathaway is there too

and of course "Confrontation" (a track that

was found on the Big Kap/Funk Flex album

and later found on the re-release of MARY)

"be who you are and say what you feel
because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind."
