It is the new single, along with Hands Up. Damaged is being sent to Pop stations, while Hands Up got sent to Urban stations. I really hope they make a video for Damaged.

1. "I'll Write A Song For You"/EW&F ... Philip Bailey's best vocal performance. Listen and weep, "Reasons" fans. razz

2. "Got To Get You Into My Life"/EW&F ... I prefer this one over the Beatles' original. Yeah, I SAID IT!

3. "Try Jah Love"/Third World ...

And if you're thirsty I will quench you
With my love
And if you hunger I will feed you
With my word
And all I ask of you is that you love as I do

And if you lose your way I'll lead you
To my love
From a sinful life I'll cleanse you
In my love
For creation bears a witness of my love

4. "Funk Gets Stronger"/Funkadelic ... the rhythm guitar on this song reeks of sex:

Funk gets stronger
As it goes longer
Just a silly millimeter longer
Funk gets stronger

Funky power
By the hour
Funk will sit and sit and never go sour
Funky power

You keep holding me back
Put it where you know it belong

You keep holding it back
You got to put it where you know it belong

You keep holding it back, jack
Put it where it belong
(x2)

Roll call, she boogie
Check us out
(x4)

She like to ball, she boogie
Check, check us out
(x2)

5. "Crosseyed And Painless"/Talking Heads ...

6. "Houses In Motion"/Talking Heads ...

7. "All Blues"/Miles Davis ... two words: BILL EVANS. sigh

8. "In My Time Of Dying"/Led Zeppelin ... it's the drums. IT'S THE DRUMS!

9. "Bring The Noise"/Public Enemy ...

Beat is for Sonny Bono
Beat is for Yoko Ono

10. "Introduction"/Chicago Transit Authority ... when the group was worthy of its city name.

EW&F's peformance of the song in the awful movie Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was the ONLY redeeming factor of that embarrassing flick!
