Taking their name from a 1952 Frank Sinatra film, Danny Wilson was a Scottish group consisting of brothers Gary Clark (lead vocalist, guitarist, Keyboards) and Kit Clark (Guitarist), along with their friend Ged Grimes. Signed to Virgin records in 86, their first album Meet Danny Wilson contained the U.S. chart hit, "Mary's Prayer" (which would years later be featured in the movie , "Something About Mary"). A second album folloed in 1989, called "Bebop Moptop". The group disbanded in 1991. Gary clark released a solo album , "10 Short songs About Love". He was also in the groups King L, and Transistor, before he began writing and producing for other artists, including Natalie Imbruglia, Liz Phair, K.D. Lang, Nick Parker, Melanie C., and Emma Bunton.
