New Christina Aguilera Song Featured on Soundtrack
March 09, 2012
Not counting her featured performance on "Moves Like Jagger," Christina Aguilera hasn't given us a new song in a couple of years. Well, fans will be happy to learn that she's featured on the soundtrack of the new Will Ferrell comedy Casa de Mi Padre, which hits theaters March 17.
Billboard reports that the soundtrack itself is now available at digital providers, and Christina sings the title track -- in Spanish.
"Casa de Mi Padre" is a traditional Spanish-sounding song, with flamenco guitars and trumpets. The movie itself, which is in Spanish, is said to have been inspired by the overly-dramatic style of telenovelas, the Latin equivalent of soap operas. It's about a guy, played by Will Ferrell, who has to save his father's Mexican ranch from a powerful drug lord.
