Roger Unlimited lp

I remember my stepdad had this lp back in the day and the song of the airwaves was I wanna be your man....they wore it out on the r&b radio stations here in atlanta,ga and I remember seeing the video on video soul back then but I was too preoccupied with the 1999 and signs o the times album at that time to really appreciate this album. Now, that I listen to the cassette on my stereo.....Roger was a genius at getting people out on the dancefloor and this album differs from the previous Roger and Zapp album because this funk was toned down a bit and more versatility was in the mix. I watched an interview from youtube on soul in the city and Roger said that He worked on this album harder than anything he had ever done and it shows in I wanna be your man, tender moments, private lover, composition to commemorate and I really wanna be your man (jazz guitar instrumental). Private lover always reminded me of ice cream castles and I never really liked ice cream castles but Roger toke it and made it FUNKY and thats what I like about that song....He capitalized on that minneapolis sound...thats for sure and I love it.

There you go.

This album was on my play list when it came out, but I haven't played it in a while.
