Yeah, the wankers twisted pretty much everything he said.

MJ appears to be an absolute sweetheart if a little bit of an airhead at times.

I have not seen it yet but I want to. I saw the first interview and I did not like the interviewer at all. He seemed to have already had preconceived notions about Michael and was looking for ways to expose and elevate whatever he "thought" was the negative.

I cannot wait to see Michael's footage.

You have got to be kiddin, right. I saw the alternative footage on Sky One in the UK last night...MJ was not vindicated at all..it was appalling and so patronising to the viewer. I am not defending anything to do with Martin Bashir...but you have to be idding to say that Jacko is 100% an alright bloke..they guy is the most total fruit cake I have ever seen, and as for Debbie Rowe, well she must have been paid shit-loads to say some of the things she did..not a sincere word from her in there.

You all been doped by the big PR machine!

i agree, wacko is totally cracked. Self-delusional and all 'round wierd. Some of the reasons 4 this r understandable of course...
BUT Bashir is SCUM! What is even worse is that, while the British media is reviled the world over, Bashir was one of its so-called 'respected' journalists. It is 100% apparant that he relinquished all journalistic integrity 2 get the most salacious angle on the footage he had, in order to incite the celebrity-obsessed british public and thus spark a bidding war in the US for the rights.
He is an insidious example of why eccentrics like jackson became so paranoid in the first place and i hope his reputation is mud after the dust clears on this episode. Unfortunately, because jacko is nuts and he incites such fanatacism, reasonable people may not focus their attentions on Bashir's ethically void behaviour...

Without wanting to start a new thread (!) i just wanted to say many demo's of the Dangerous sessions r floating around lately, two of them (dangerous & Give in to me) u can find here:

(Give in to me is cool, he does some of the guitar bits with his voice. Dangerous is a stripped down version of the song with a different beat, don't like it very much)

Erm, so you guys think it is all Bashir...so it is Bashir that puts masks on the kids, that won't use the word 'sex' comfortably, that allows young boys to sleep in his room, that hangs his baby over a balcony, that sits in a tree for inspiration, that doesn't have a mother -figure for his kids... yup all down to Mr Bashir.

He's a fucking journalist you idiots, what you think journalists ll accross the world aren't just like that - they are paid for their creativity with the truth, and their incisive questioning.

Look stop defending MJ, he is a nut-ball...who was once beautiful and creative...he treats his kids like they are dolls, can't come up wioth any new dance moves, his song writing is now mediocre at best, and he is an alledged child abuser...I in in the words of the great - COME ON!

i only saw the 1st 50mins...i taped it all so i will watch the rest asap.
but unlike the previous version...i actually smiled.
tho when parts of what Bashir sed in voice overs & then seeing the footage of him speaking 2 MJ...that pissed me off.
but also was happy cos this sun bitch is getting what he had comin'.

Ppl will finally see the truth now & see that MJ is pretty normal.
with just a normal camera in one spot...not zooming in dramatically at certain parts,or sleazy editing...
it was eye opening 2 even ME!...a 100% loyal MichaelJackson supporter.

i certainly didn't defend MJ, like i said the guy is not normal by any barometer. He is loco, certifiable even. I am trying to make a different point, unrelated to jackson, perhaps read my post above again.

>He's a fucking journalist you idiots, what you think >journalists ll accross the world aren't just like that - >they are paid for their creativity with the truth, and >their incisive questioning.

But Bashir's questions were not (for the most part) incisive, his editing was. His voice-over was certainly creative (and salacious). My point is that Bashir trades on being above 'fucking journalists' as you succinctly put it. He is 'the guy who turned diana's life around', an award-winner of great integrity, someone that stars and even royalty can (and have in the past) trust.

I think it was a real eye-opener to see him rejoin the rats of the tabloid media, sniffing around under the tables of people with talent for whatever self-serving scraps he can come accross.
I hasten to add that i felt this way long immediately after viewing the original ITV xploitation of MJ, who is indeed a very crazy (not to mention in hindsight, naieve) person.

Did you all see the show Oprah did the day after the FOX interview? I agree with her that the only real issue is MJ not understanding that it's wrong to have kiddie sleepovers. Stuff like how many plastic surgeries he had are none of our business and don't matter.

If somebody is lying about obvious stuff like his surgery, then how can i believe him when it comes to all the other stuff? COME ON !!! i dont say he is guilty but i think there is reason enough to investigate whats going with kids in his house.

This will run and run huh? Jackson agreed to a documentary and the makers decided what footage they wanted to use. Simple really...

a fox? really...barf I'm still having some confusion about Prince's hair..it looks like a dye job. shrug

I think if MJ would say, "I've had 30 different surgeries. So what and finger for asking!" I would have more respect.

Mikes behavior is just inappropriate. I don't think he's crazy nor a molester, just confused. He told ya'll he was Peter Pan and ya'll didn't believe him. wink

I hear Bashir pulled out of presenting an award at the Brits cause he was scared of the reaction he'd get on stage. It's been revealed Justin Timberlake had told Bashir's people in no uncertain terms he wouldn't be welcome backstage.lol

Back to topic, I'm glad Bashir was exposed as a total liar and fraud. Some of the things he told Michael and Karen Faye (MJ's long standing Make-up artist) off camera (or so he thought) really hit me hard thinking back to the original documentary and how it was presented.

As for Karen and what she had to say about Michael's Vitiligo, there can be no doubt in anyone's mind that he genuinely has it.Poor guy.

MJ did call alot of the tabloids feeding them stories in the early 80's. I think he liked seeing his name in print. The saying no publicity is bad publicity. He didn't think that people would really believe the stuff. So years later he's trying to undo it. The tabloids would take a story from you and twist it worse the Bashir did. I highly doubt if MJ was shocked when he turned on him. The masks were probably for the childrens security. Listening to you all their are still those that would kidnap them just to meet him. If MJ had anyone with sense around him they should have not even been photographed at all. Once a child is over a year old they will be the way they will look. Babies change so a photo of them would not help so nut to identify them.
Doctors look for whats wrong with you. If you look for something wrong you will find something wrong. Being objective was thrown out the window long ago. The interview made more questions then it answered. Why? he was not looking for answers he was looking for something to be wrong. Did MJ start calling himself Wacko Jacko or was it the media?
sorry if that was over your head...jump up and try to catch the point next time.

* Wacko Jacko came from The Sun in the late 80s. The name just stuck.

* Death threats were sent to Paris not long after she was born. Note that MJ was quite willing to co-operate with one official photo session for OK! magazine in 1997 when Prince was born.

* Maybe the tabloid media have been trying to "get back" at him for all those planted stories from the mid to late 80s. I don't know why since they were the ones making money from it too, and quite frankly, he may have thrown the first stone, but they've been chucking cannon balls back at him since then.

* As tiring and "childish" as this whole situation is to some people, at least Bashir has been exposed. The fact that he was a respected journalist is irrelevant now he has been shown to be a sensationalist unethical fuckwit.
