Sometimes, you think the artist is very weak, but like a dozen songs in his/her collection...

2 words - Britney Spears.
I think that Britney is a sweet girl, but mediocrity - her middle name.
Bad singing, can.t write a single song on their own. Previously, she was a good dancer, but now she dances even worse than singing.

BUT, Britney has some really good pop songs, very catchy and dance tracks. Probably the best pop-catalog for the last 10-15 years.

What other examples?

For me, probably Madonna. I think she's garbage but I will admit to loving "Don't Tell Me" and "Ray of Light" and "Hung Up" among others. I like a couple of Ashanti's Songs too.

Chris Brown- Beautiful People. Don't like him but love the song and the video, ts a great feel good summer tune.

Beyonce 4 sure! Becuz she really takes (or at list paints) herself seriously as an artist...that makes her worst than Britney

I really don't care for rihanna, but i do like some of her Good Girl Gone bad era songs.

I also like some Samantha Fox, Mili Vanili, Captain & Tennille & Linkin Park songs

I agree as well but never really cared for her music overall... I would say Rihanna .. Horrible artist but she does have some catchy songs.

I'm not a fan of Rolling Stones, Barbara Streisand or Aretha Franklin, for example. But they are good and bright artists.
I'm not a big fan of Madonna, she is overrated and has average talent in singing/dancing / songwriting, but she is creative and a huge workaholic.
Therefore, she is decent artist in any way.

On the other hand ... Britney... not creative, lazy, mediocre singer/dancer. Yes, she is the personification of a bad artist for me, although she has a decent catalog of songs and cute to me as a person and I wish her well ..

they suck, but Backstreet Boys had the occasional good song like "quit playing games with my heart" and "I want it that way"

I wrote that songs from Britney are better than the songs of the Rolling Stones, Aretha, or Barbara?? Buy glasses ...
Rolling Stones, Barbara Streisand or Aretha Franklin - great artists, but I'm not a fan and have no more than 2-3 songs in the play-list. Their songs are legendary, but am I obliged to love all of the legendary? Strange thoughts.

I believe that Mozart >>> Beatles, Michael and Prince combined, but still prefer to listen to their rock / pop.

I was just shocked by the comment. I can read just fine. If you cant handle criticism over your opinions and threads then you shouldnt make them at all..

Bringing up Mozart, Beatles, Prince or Michael doesnt validate your arguement either. I dont care what music you like quite frankly I was just surprised that you think Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Barbara are great artists but not a fan of them... but are more of a fan of an artist who in my opinion makes bad music let alone descent. Maybe if you expose yourself to more of their music you might come to like alot more than you think.
