UPDATES On Sly Stone (New pix, music, documentary, Dr Phill)
He completed Rehab and is now out with "great results", clean and sober.

He is now involved in a Dr Phill special, entirely dedicated to Sly which you can read more about here http://www.alleewillis.co...sly-stone/ No other details yet.
Yet another documentary is due to be released this year, probably in time for the Dr Phill special. It is called "On The Sly: In Search Of The Family Stone" and features contributions from Dr Cornell West, The entire Family Stone, Clive Davis, Paul Shaffer, Woodstock organisers and more. A trailer is available (a must see!)
Back in October, a website was set up www.slystonenow.com that features new music! At the moment you can find a track called "Satisfied" presumably from the famous 1989-1990 sessions. Real funky sounding. It can be heard and purchased here http://slystonenow.bandca.../satisfied
Now for a bit of a bummer. A 1:30 long snippet of an ACTUAL new Sly track called "If I Didn't Love You", presumably recorded in the RV, is also available to hear at the following link... http://twitpic.com/5x7a2t It's, ummmm......well.......Auto-tune?! And that's probably the least of it's problems. Sounds like a teenager's mess around on a laptop. Still got hope, though.

Glad to know he finished rehab! I hope it did some good. Who knows, maybe he will finally put together some quality material and recolaborate with his musical family as both could profit from a colaboration with each other. Anyway, egos usually get in the way. Congrats SLY, I hope this rehab will be your last! | |

Glad to hear some good news on Sly. Finally. Like someone stated earlier screw whether he ever puts out a new album or perform again(he's already a legend), it's simply nice to know he isn't on a trainwreck to die. Don't laugh at my funk
