Wouls you say Jay Kay of Jamiroquai is one of the great singers? I think his voice is very suited for what he sings-not sure if it is more than that. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

no hell no boring... Just Music-No Categories-Enjoy It!

Nope...not by a long shot. However, I will say he has a rather distinctive voice and that popular music is many times done best by those w/ a distinctive rather than a great voice.

One of the greats?
NO.
But it's suited well for the type of music Jamiroquai does, and having seen them live, I can vouch that they put on a great show. In the States, they aren't as famous as they are in Europe, which is a neat thing in that when they do play dates in the US, it's in smaller venues- and small venues is THE way to enjoy a Jamiroquai show. You dance from start to finish and will sweat out your perm.

He makes good music, I enjoy hearing his joy and flair. But he isn't any Stevie, who he most reminds me if. "So fierce U look 2night, the brightest star pales 2 Ur sex..."

I don't even know who that is.
Post some videos.. then I'll tell you.

Nope. Well, I heard of them, just never listened to their music, and never heard of the singer. I asked someone to post some vidoes, but they didn't.. I'm too lazy to youtube them myself...

One of the great singers, nope. I will say this though, "Virtual Insanity" and "Feels Just Like It Should" are the shit.

No, he's not a great singer but it doesn't matter because he does something that very few people do these days....he makes good music. Andy is a four letter word.

That's good to know. I'll give him a rock if he gives me a cock. Andy is a four letter word.

Thanks SoulAlive ... yes, he does sound very much like Stevie Wonder.
I like it; I wouldn't call him one of the greatests singers ever, though..
