Which Version Of Fire Is Best?

Fire, originally written by Bruce in 1977 had fantastic cover versions by The Pointer Sisters, Robert Gordan & Shakin Stevens

Which version do you think is best?

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

It's hard to compete with Bruce doing his own song, and the performance is good, complete with teasing of the crowd.

But for a pop record, definitely the Pointer Sisters. Bruce writes great songs, but does not always record them with the little details that make a great pop record. And the Pointer Sisters' version has those qualities. It still sounds good and not terribly dated
