you know what cash costs were to organize the tour, the rental of stadiums, on payment of the workers? The tour was a huge, 4.5 million viewers (the largest audience for a solo artist ever).

I'd still be pissed. The first time I saw Prince live, it was so important to me that he sing. I wanted to know he could match what I heard on vinyl. 'Justify my love' so to speak.

It was the 1999 tour and he delivered.

I've passed up Madonna twice to see Prince. Never seen her live except televised shows. Unless I had great seats I'd be watching most of the show on screen anyway. She sounds better recorded anyway.

The difference between us is that, for example, I do not pretend that I love Madonna, and you write what you love Michael, but adds it's always so offensive to his phrases.
1. I agree that Madonna was more relevant in the 00's. Michael released a bad album (not as creepy as Hard Candy, of course, but still bad), Madonna recorded four albums, successful tours and filmed some good clips.
2. But Michael was successful and relevant in the 70's, his album Off the wall is much better, more successful, more powerful and more sold than absolutely any Madonna album in the 00-ies.
3. Michael has five decades of single or album is number 1 in the Billboard charts. More than any other artist.
4. Yes, Michael's tours in the 90s were not great (although Dangerous tour was 50-60% live), but his Bad tour is much better than any tour of Madonna, she just can not sing or dance at a high level as MJ at his peak, and does not have such a powerful charisma. Before Bad tour Jacksons had hundreds absolutely live concerts ...
5. The first hit number 1 MJ had in 11 years old, most recently when he was 45 years (Cry in Spain) ---- 34 years, Madonna's career does not last as long.
6. I did not finish any show of Madonna completely, I quickly became tedious, so I would prefer even a lame lip-sync show from MJ.
