The Power Station

I have never seen a thread on Palmer or this great supergroup. I always loved Palmers voice, very soulful imo.

Power station i ADORE Tony Thompsons loud, thumping drums & John is a hell of a bass player. Sadly i never dug his playing as much in Duran Duran......

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

...She Can Rock It

Actually, I doubt if John played much bass on the first album and Bernard Edwards recorded the second.

Was Bernard possibly on the 1st? the bass is great on the album. Duran Duran for sure didn't have as heavy a bass sound...

Not sure.

Bernard produced both records and there are a few bassists credited on the first (not Bernard).

I'm pretty sure i've got the LP at home. I'll have to look.
