I like Joe Jackson. I've been listening to his "Jumpin' Jive" album for much of the day.

Always enjoyed the vibe of this one. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

You know what? I will go broke up in here trying to keep up with all this good music you've been making me aware of, lol. If I'm ever in your neck of the woods, I know where the party's at, lol.
This is a very timely cut, indeed. I've never heard it before, so I looked it up and was surprised to learn that it was released back in 1986 (...don't know what I must have been doing to have missed it, lol). Definitely has a nice 80's feel to me; with that funky-ass bassline. It's sort of in the vein of Talking Heads or Thomas Dolby, while clearly maintaining Joe Jackson's signature vibe all over it. The message the song conveys is very much on point, not dated in the least (...in fact, sounds very much like it's about the here and now - which is why I was compelled to check the release date). I've gotta say; I didn't really start getting deep into politics until around 2007 or so (...in that period of time leading up to Obama's presidency), but Joe Jackson is really speaking my mind when he sings of matters not being about right or left; rather right or wrong.
Clean production, it's now on my Amazon wish list (...and I see it can be obtained at a very affordable price). Again Brother, I really appreciate all the good music you've put me on to here in this forum.
