She should have taken the job for a season. And then toured. Maybe she could have filled up more seats than a theater. Or not had to cancel so many arena concerts due to poor sales.
This would have a high-profile gig for her....a perfect way to launch a comeback.Imagine if she had done this show, then released an album in the summer and went on tour.
I agree. I see it as a missed opportunity to have a platform to springboard other projects (with a captive television audience on top). Think of all the marketing tie-ins she could have had connected to the show. I know some may think this job is beneath her, but at Janet's age, and with the recording industry selling as little as it is (and she having not exactly the most stellar selling numbers with the last few cds) I would see the tv gig as a way to re-invent herself for a younger audience and get them hyped for whatever else she was doing outside of the show. |

I get where you are coming from. However, after seeing Janet on Anderson the other week, I'm starting to think that she is not very opinionated or has an outgoing public personality. I'm sure she's fun in private, but when she does sit down interviews, she comes off as nervous and quiet.
While she was on Anderson, she could not even give a good description of Nutrisystem and how it helped her. She never could really tell us about why she chose to use the product/service nor could she say what she really liked about it.
All of this tells me that she needs to work on her public persona and product endorsement skills. It almost made it seem as if she was with Nutrisystem for the money and not for what it can do. I can't imagine her on a show like Xfactor where the judges bicker back and forth. Nor could I see her telling someone that they didn't do well with a performance. |

Nutrisystem didn't help her. You think Janet is eating microwaved meals ? No. |

She probably had chefs from the nutrisystem camp or her own prepare the meals... There people who have no intention of losing weight who still use nutrisystem. |

Simon should hired Jermaine Jackson as judge for X-Factor instead. THIS MFer needs the attention (whoring) more than baby sister Janet does.
That is all. |

She did say the meals was delicious. Plus Anderson didn't really pry her on Nutrisystem. She gave him what he asked for...Anderson is not Diane Sawyer, who would have gotten the answers she wanted. I mean look how she grilled Whitney...Everyone got more than they expected in that interview & it was because of Ms.Sawyer.... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. |

J-Lo's 'American Idol' gig has done wonders for her career. She's suddenly "hot" again. |

WOW ! Well this is where she is 180° the opposite from her big sister, because as long as you cut Latoya a fat check, that girl will hawk frogshit for youth elixer -sold in a South American or Middle Eastern country near you for the low low price of $149.95 USD like she's America's Last Top Model! .
Back in the day (1990's) Latoya was an underground infomercial queen, and that heffa can spit back "canned lines" to endorse a product like Bob Barker giving away prizes on The Price is Right I kinda saw that side of her in action again when she was on Celebrity Apprentice last year: the one episode where she did exceptionally well was giving a client a tour of his own brand of motorhomes; she was so fast to spit out facts, figures and features about the product you woulda thought she was really a representative from the company

The music business being as it is, at this stage of the game and at this phase of career, I would say take the tv gig with the big marketing platform so you ca launch 10,000 other ventures through it, or shoot, do a residency in Vegas and get paid. I know it hardly sounds creatively groundbreaking- but heck, I'm just practical. |

That's very true, but it just didn't seem believable to me. It made me feel she didn't even know the product or even used it.

She was very vague about it. But like I said Anderson didn't pry into it. I guess she feels since she did the commercial, she doesn't have to pry Nutrisystem down everyone throats. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"!
