FACT OF THE DAY: T.I. Saved A Man From Killing Himself

Written on February 28, 2012 4:31 pmt.i. arrested prison incarcerated jail drugs weapons possession grammy tiny new musicClifford “T.I.” Harris has made a name as a rapper and family man with his new reality TV series. But at times his compassion has extended beyond the walls of his home.

October 13th 2010 T.I. was listening to the radio and he heard that a man named Joshua Starks was about to jump off a 22-story skyscraper. Finding himself deeply moved he drove over to Atlanta’s 400 Colony Square building. T.I. asked authorities if he could speak to Joshua about his situation.

T.I. met with police and then recorded a video message that the police then showed to the man on the ledge. On the video, T.I. said, “Nothing is that bad. Nothing in life is worth taking your life. I’m here to help you. Please come down to talk to me.” After watching the video, the man stepped back from the ledge, and later met with T.I. in the building’s lobby, where the two talked for a few minutes before the man was taken to Atlanta’s Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.

When asked how he did it T.I. replied “The fact of the matter is God put me in a position to help, and I can’t take any credit for that.”

T.I. What a class act? That has turned his life around. Also with a hit reality show that shows him as a good father & family man with his beautiful sexy Grammy award winning wife Tiny( From the successful rnB group Xscape)...........

That was so he can start shooting his reality show right when he was released. It was a brilliant idea. But the officials hated on him and sent him back, even though they was posing for pics with him in front of the bus. But it worked out anyway his reality show is a big hit.

I can't support anybody who goes to jail for doing dumb shit, gets out and then goes right back to jail for doing DUMBER shit....smh. Please don't tell me that it was a publicity stunt for his show. There are better ways, to get noticed.... neutral

I never said it was a publicity stunt. U putting words in my mouth...I'm talking about when he had the big tour bus to pick him up when he was released. There were cameras inside from VH1 who had started shooting his reality show. T.I. DID NOT STAGE THAT! Stop hating.

I never said that you said it. What I said was, don't use say that his actions were part of a publicity stunt for his TV show. It has nothing to do with, "hating". I don't know him, personally. I just think that some of his actions are not a good look, for a grown man.

I only say they cool because I met them both. I'm a good judge of character. Everybody is not perfect & makes mistakes (even me) & do things their not proud of that is life . U learn from ur mistakes. Everybody is not perfect! Ti grew up in the hood. Chris Brown was very young when that incident happen with Rhianna. If she can forgive him & do two duets with him (out now). Then everyone else should move on. Only God can judge him. U have to learn forgiveness.

Now for the song & video with R. Kelly"I'm A Flirt". That is only a song! Most rappers don't really live that kind of lifestyle they rap about anyway. Plus T.I & his wife of now were seperated when he made that cut. Everything is all good with them & he takes her everywhere he goes now. EVERYWHERE!

Still don't know who T.I. is except for reading on here that he is a rapper, he spends a lot of time in jail, he has a reality show, and now, presumably, he saved someone's life. lol
