I do not know how long this thread will live. I'm tired of these double standards .... why the sticky topic just about MJ? There are artists, who are popular on this forum not less than Jackson, and have sometimes to 4-5 on the first page.
return to the Thriller ....... It`s the perfect pop album, one of the greatest ever, but not one of my favorite in the discography of MJ.

I'm not an MJ fan, but I love "Human Nature." No other pop artist has created a song I can say is better than that. The title track "Thriller" still scares the shit out of me, and that video too as embarassing as that is to admit.

The night he passed I was driving home from work at 6am and it was on the radio. There was no one on the road but me and MJ-nice memory and yes Thriller is still scary

Getting my post in before the lockdown.
"Baby Be Mine", "Lady In My Life" are among my faves maybe because they haven't been overplayed to death. I also love "Human Nature" and "Wanna Be Startin' Something". The album is pop/r&b lite perfection. Not a bad song on there for me. No, not even "The Girl Is Mine" lol. That song always gets so much hate by fans and non-fans alike, but I think it's a cute song.
It wasn't a good choice for a lead single though. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

"Human Nature" is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Props to Steve Porcaro for writing and composing such a lovely song and of course Mj's vocals are just heavenly on it. So beautiful.
For the record, the "Thriller" video scares me too. As someone in their mid 20's, i'm embarrassed to say that as well but Michael as the werewolf has always scared the shit out of me. I wasn't all that crazy about "Thriller"; but Human Nature was perfect and special. I never get tired of listening to that song.
It reminds of something Harle said about Denise Williams hit song, Free. The arrangement, lyrics and arragement was such that most anyone playing/singing it would sound good. Miles Davis and George Howard cover of "Human Nature" bears that out.

Yeah Thriller was always over the top for me and scary as hell but Human Nature is one of the best songs ever written-beautiful.

Masterpiece from start to finish.
I remember when I was a little I wore the hell out of PYT I LOVED that song... as I grew older I grew to appreciate Human Nature. Ive always loved Baby Be Mine and Lady My Life. Michael kills vocally on those tracks... I really like how all the tracks were arranged. Starts out with a bang with Wanna Be Startin Somethin and ends with Lady In My Life... Good album.
Thriller is the greatest video nothing tops that. It has everything for it to be the greatest, epic dancing, short film, horror theme and Michael of course

Every song is perfectly placed-great album. The Thriller video was just alittle much for me- I liked Billie Jean Better the ground lit up when he walked-as a kid that was epic

Growing up, I thought "Billie Jean" was the leading single.

This album was love at first listen It helped me understand the greatness of MJ; It's not just about the music...there's something so special about his singing. He just instantly puts you in a good mood. 'Baby Be Mine' has been my alarm song for a while now and I never get tired of it! I mean I don't know about Prince.org but I don't know anyone in real life who wouldn't dance when Billie Jean is played XD
I really hope they invent a Time Machine before I die. Oh what would I give to go to MJ's concert and scream MichaaaeeeeL and faint!!t!!

Funny when I listen to Michael now I rarely play this album.

"Beat It" is epic to me. The video, the choreo that went with it, the beginning, the guitar riff/solo, the vocals, the lyrics. I can still listen for days.
I like every song on the album but that's the one song I can listen to no matter my mood.
