I usually love high tech 80's remakes of classic tunes, but I gotta go with the original on this one.

T-rex, despite not hitting big in the US, had some classic singles in the UK.

I like both versions though, and I love Tony Thompsons slam dunk drums or whatever.

Power Station was the first one I heard but I go with Marc and 'em.

I think he had finished doing something (some TV appearance) and he was friends with Marc so he invited himself to perform with them. And he was already a star lmao

I heard the Power Station remake first, but you can't top the glam rock feel of the original. T.Rex wins.

I give the edge to The Power Station. That first 30 seconds alone does it for me, but I still dig T-Rex's original.

T Rex for me. I really love them and especially love how much Get It On inspired Prince to write Cream.

T-Rex all the way. What a sound. When I first heard that song I was high - and to this day - just hearing it - triggers. Wasted talent, Marc gone too young - heck all of them have passed.
