I played the sneak preview snippets on her site before buying the album and thought "this is good for the late night" and I was right. I bought it for the smoothness of it. I almost bought her second album but was preoccupied to buy it.

The summer of 2002 was one of the best summers I ever had. And I heard all three. But I bought only Amerie because I favored her sound.

I always thought "Why Don't" was THE song of 2002. Still do. CLASSIC.

Ive always liked Amerie... shes very underrated.

alot of people forget that Beyonce totally jacked Amerie's sound... Which was why her and Rich Harrison fell out..

Ameries voice is alot more unique and refreshing.... nothing forced about it and she conveys alot of natural emotion... Shes a good singer.

i remember when wendy williams broke this record in ny, she was playing this hard before anyone picked up on it, then amerie went to the station down the dial for her first interview.

I got so sick of this song when it first came out, because it was played to death on the radio.

Plus I've always like "Talking 2 Me" better or whatever it's called.

I blame her label for not promoting it. That album had some potential especially with what they're playing in 2002. I'm guessing Amerie has a bit of mouth so that may have to do with why the label was stingy to her material but she always had gems.
