”Numbers” is another great track. They really unbeknownst to them usher in early hip hop. Their music was the backdrop for the breakdancing craze. Their music was very influential. | |

"Eatch Me Sun Che" - And what the hell did that mean? I used to wonder about that phrase...

Forgot about that one too... I was one of them (former B-Boy here). Did everything but spin on my head. Didn't have the nerve. I have loved Kraftwerk since I was 15 years old, I used to listen to them on my cassette walkman (which was actually a Phillips) I have all the original albums on cd, not the remastered/remixed versions of late. One of my favourite purchases was a German 12inch vinyl of Neon Lights, in glow in the dark vinyl!

 YaaaaasssssThey were waaaay ahead of thier time. My father and mother was strictly r&b, jazz, and classical.....we use to get movie scores for fun like the Exorcist, Star Wars, Superman...I even cherished my 45 record of S.W.A.T.. My father went and purchase one of the best stereos he could afford....lucky for me it was around the time of Kraftwerk explosion to the US. The speakers were massive for me back then they were about 4 ft tall in wood casing...he would allow us to blast them on the weekends with whatever we wanted. When NUMBERS came out I was quick to run to the Wiz and get my copy....I could not wait to get it going.....to my surprise that songs plays with the speakers...with the sound going from one to the other, and the bass is massive!  My father was like what in the world is that????? I said it the same guys who made T.E.E which he loved. His favorite was Computer Love. Man oh man did you bring up a great childhood memory...sitting on the back of the bus blasting my boom box that was WAAAAAY to heavy just so the pop lockers could practice thier moves.....that was just simply good times.
