Good for her. No one will be playing these songs like they do MJ's 20 years later tho. She makes forgettable, disposable pop and Katy herself as an artist and a performer is forgettable. She is utterly unremarkable in every way.

Anyway MJ can't hold all those records forever. As someone else said, records are meant to be broken but imo Michael still has and always will hold the best record in the music biz which is the biggest selling album of all time. That's an amazing feat and accomplishment no one will top, at least not in this century so quit crying MJ fans lol. He still has many records and totally at a level few have ever or will ever reach in terms of having a successful career.

She didn't actually beat it.

Well she at least tied it lol. I stand by my comment about her though. She is talentless and has very little charisma or stage presence and on top of that sounds awful live. Katy hit the jack pot with this album though and I admit there are several catchy songs on it, so I actually don't blame her record company for trying to milk this album for all it's worth.

I can see why they are hits. Catchiness is key in today's music industry, and her songs are hella catchy. Hell, even Adele is catchy.

Michaels singles are classics while Perrys cheating and gimmicks are just hits for today. Perrys label did alot of cheating to even tie with Michael. Michael worked hard for that record.

No offense, but you guys take this record stuff to seriously. I never saw nay paycheck from MJ from his Thriller sells, so his sales, reocrds, or anything else mean nothing to me. IDC if Stevie Wonder, Kesha or blood tokken of the spur clan outsellf Thriller.
