What more do I want?

Please stop bringing all the loud baby daddy drama, ghetto ass ring tone going off in the threater, starting fights , saling bootlegs and merchandise in the theater, telling what is going to happen next during the movie disbelief behinds at home... I just want to see my movie quietly and leave out in one piece disbelief

The power fried chicken have on my people disbelief

Thats some powerful stuff eek

lol

I don't have anythang to do with the baby mamma drama. I could've had a baby daddy but the shotgun convinced my husband, he should marry me. Sellin' bootleg, semi- authentic merchandise is a main stay of the economic well being of our community, you thought you've seen some drama. I'd rather have the brothers push up on me some shit I can buy rather than pushin' a weapon through my ribs. Besides, that's how I save on Father's/Mother's, Birthday's, and Christmas gifts.

As far as the cell phone ring tone, I've tired to start a national support group, S .T. Y. M. - "Stop Trackin' Yo' Man.

Hold up... talkin' out during a film is a cultural tradition, you are just gonna have to live with it. As I tell the white folks when they go to the show and we all up in there. Either take your ass to the frist showing or deal. lol Besides those folks have saved many a movie theatres workers life. I can't tell how many times my people crackin' saved a dumbass, dull, no plot line movie.

I love them for it. touched

I love that shit. falloff

Why keep recycling and reviving something that was in it's glory in the 70's? Try creating something new, different and befitting of TODAY'S times. I for one would like to see a show, showcasing artists that normally aren't heard in the "industry"....Robert Glasper, Trombone Shorty, The Foreign Exchange, Goapele, Eric Roberson, N'Dambi, Deborah Bond, Incognito, Sweetback, Rhian Benson, Keite Young, Lina...I could go on and on.

I'm wid cha! biggrin Soul Train still ran until a couple of years ago too, IIRC. It was a show and a concept that fit a time and place....the impact was so great back in the day because there were so few outlets. Why would Magic even try to revive it on a modern audeince and the kids of today I find hard to understand. biggrin cool

The greatness that was Soul Train can't be recaptured and I can't imagine it any other way. Enjoy!! cool

People are missing the bigger picture. You can take the Soul Train format and easily update for today's generation. It wouldn't necessarily have dancers and a soul train line but it could be a great platform where you would have an audience in studio with performers of the day coming in to promote their music. 106&Park, Solid Gold, TRL etc are all from the Soul Train / American Bandstand format just tailored for a different generation. If they had the right hosts and the right set up, this could actually work. I really hope they put a lot of thought into this if it ever materializes. cool

That's called recycling as I said in my post. So if 106 & Park is considered "today's version/form of Soul Train" then what's the point in REVIVING the actual Soul Train show once again? It defeats the purpose. Besides the music of today's generation is mostly shit. Who would stay up and watch it? It's a new generation. Kids today don't stay up and watch shows, they have already seen the "leaked" version on the internet before it's even aired on television. These aren't the days when folks used to loyally stay up to catch stuff like the Arsenio Hall show which was a "must see". tv

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

evillol 106 & Park is more like a stale version of TRL rather than a version of today's Soul Train to be honest. Even when TRL got old, the execs at MTV had enough sense to take that shit off. evillol
