From Madonnarama, about the song ''I'm a Sinner'' from Madonna's new album ''MDNA''

Madonnarama gives you an exciting and exclusive preview on what to expect from Madonna’s new album, MDNA…

Madonna teams up with William Orbit for “I’m a Sinner.”
For sure, the track has WØ written all over it!

The song’s a catchy happy sexy delightfully psychedelic 60′s-inspired pop song in the continuity of William Orbit’s previous creations with Madonna.

Oddly it opens up the same way “Die Another Day” did, but takes a very different and familiar direction… Think “Beautiful Stranger” meets “Ray of Light”, and believe it or not, the sound remains very fresh and new!

The lyrics are fun and serious at the same time, with Madonna taking responsability for being a sinner, even saying she likes it.

She cites saints (Jesus, Mary, St Christopher, …) and talks bible.

Stay tuned for more exclusive Madonnarama reports on what to expect from MDNA!

So, "Amazing" then? "Beautiful Stranger" meets "Ray Of Light?" they're practically the same song underneath as it is. as is "Amazing" ..... and good chunks of "American Pie," come to think of it.

which isn't a bad thing at all. but... there was basically no reason at all to bother describing it, since we already knew there was going to be one of these on there, considering that it's Madonna and William Orbit lol

I agree. I'm not a 'hater', but I thought the last single was bad, and this one is even worse. I definitely won't be buying this album.

LOL...I take those descriptions with a grain of salt lol I always read that stuff and then when I finally hear the song,it never really sounds the way they describe it at all...especially the way they say it sounds like other Madonna songs.

Radio interview: William Orbit talks about working with Madonna on her new album 'MDNA'

William Orbit: The singles that have come out aren’t necessarily representative

Tonight, William Orbit guest edited the BBC World Services arts programme ‘The Strand’ this Wednesday the 29th. From Bush House in The Strand, London.

Here’s the interview..

You’ve been kind of busy lately with Madonna. Was it six tracks on MDNA, the latest album which is about to come out?

WILLIAM ORBIT: It was six the last time I counted, but we keep adding special tracks.

You keep adding or she keeps adding?
WILLIAM ORBIT: She’s driving the train, but I come along happily.

She always says musically you finish one another’s sentences. What does that mean, musically? Give us an idea of what it’s like collaborating with her?

WILLIAM ORBIT: We definitely been working together for a long time, so there’s a certain telepathy. We tend to get into the guitar zone now. We get the accoustics out and do it campfire style.
I’m not a great singer, I sound like a mosquito trapped in a bottle. She’s a fabulous singer, but she’s very forgiving. She just wants it to work as a song. That’s where we start.

You just strum it out and work it out that way?
Yeah, yeah…

You’re in touch [with Madonna], you’ve got to work with her tomorrow?
WILLIAM ORBIT: Probably tonight… What she has decided to do is extra accoustic versions. There’s some pretty hard, rocking tracks. There’s a very different variation of styles. Mostly pretty savage, actually. The singles that have come out aren’t necessarily representative.

She wants to do some sort of more downbeat version?

WILLIAM ORBIT: Downbeat…kind of the banjo and things like that.

from what it sounds like, Madonna has finally learned how to master commericality with good music. She'll pick the most obvoiusly top 40 sounding songs for singles and leave the good ones on the album for the fans, at least....I hope.

ACT TWO BEGINS: Madonna’s Super Bowl performance generated an immediate tidal wave of interest, countering those naysayers who believed Interscope overpaid when it reportedly gave her $30m for three records. But this could be a whole new ballgame for Madonna, whose March 26 LP is already north of 50k in digital preorders, with a 300k debut now seemingly attainable, while some of her European stadium dates and U.S. arena shows go on sale next week. nod the singles are going to be lightweight, catchy songs. This is a strategy she has been using since 2005 and it seems to be paying off:

"Hung Up"---Top 10 hit in America

"4 Minutes"---Top 10 hit in America

"Give Me All Your Luvin"---Top 10 hit in America

the deeper, more introspective songs are on the album, but they won't be singles.

The no-fun professionalism of Madonna's new single, 'Girl Gone Wild'

(The L.A. Times music blog)

You know how Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox are re-releasing "Titanic" in April but in magical 3-D? Hearing Madonna's latest single, "Girl Gone Wild," released on Monday, makes me wish we could do something similar with her 2000 single, "Music." It was the last time Madonna really sounded like the queen of the dance floor, tapping into the hedonistic rebellion of the club, gettin' loose.

"Girl Gone Wild," on the other hand, the second track to be released off the winkishly named "MDNA" due March 26, sounds grimly serious about the business of getting down. You can almost see Madonna narrowing her eyes, pointing at people at the Eurodisco and saying, "You. Writhe. NOW. Thank you." This is a woman, after all, who publicly took an audience...er to task for spilling water on her stage when she performed at Coachella. You know, the festival in the middle of the broiling hot desert.

Recorded in London with dance music superstar Benny Benassi and his production partner/cousin, Ale Benassi, "Girl Gone Wild" is trim and taut, almost like it was once a fluffy disco tune now dieted down to a hard body of dance effiency. There's something very attractive about a song this militaristic and precise, but in Madge's too-capable hands it's also suffocatingly professional.

Over a whip-timed beat and synth call signals, Madonna dispenses with creativity and instead grabs the two nearest lyrical cliches, the title and chorus line "girls just want to have fun," without caring where either one comes from. Cyndi Lauper or Joe Francis -- who cares? She just wanted to conjure good times, people, and this is the quickest way she knew how.

Madge’s use of well-worn lines has rubbed some people the wrong way, including Francis himself. He has been beating his chest to the media, saying he sent a cease and desist letter to Madonna. She had originally titled the song in the plural, “Girls Gone Wild,” just like the Francis nudie video franchise. Her longtime manager, Guy Oseary, quickly quashed the rumor that the Material Girl changed the name of the song to appease Francis. It was simply one of the many last-minute tweaks they made to the album, he said. Besides, Oseary sniffed, Madonna doesn't even know who Francis is.

It's not that surprising that she doesn't. Can you imagine Madonna doing something as schlubby as watching late-night TV, where "Girls Gone Wild" commercials troll the airwaves? Yep, she's a good girl, that Madonna, not a wild one at all.

I don't think Orbit and Madonna are working for the tour necessary... He said they are keep adding special tracks, he didn't say anything about the tour.. so I guess it's for the album.. manufacturing of the physical release has not started yet, so everything is possible.. last minute changes...

New info on MDNA;

Universal Music Italia just revealed some new information on Madonna’s upcoming album MDNA.

MDNA, recorded in New York and LA, reunites Madonna with former collaborator William Orbit (“Ray of Light”) who co-wrote and co-produced several cuts on the new album. Other co-producers include Martin Solveig, The Demolition Crew, Marco “Benny” Benassi and Alessandro “Alle” Benassi, Hardy “Indiigo” Muanza, Michael Malih and Madonna.

We already revealed that Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. were featured on the lead single “Give me all your Luvin’” and also featured separately ...nt tracks.
Now Universal Music Italia confirms that “I Don’t Give A” features Nicki Minaj and, as we already know, “B-day song” features M.I.A.

Other collaborators are LMFAO, Klas Ahlund, Joe Henry and Mika, who co-wrote one of the songs.

The Swedish songwriter and record producer Klas Ahlund has already worked with the likes of Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue, but was also co-writer and producer for the incredible “Body Talk” albums by Robyn.

Madonna’s brother-in-law Joe Henry is no stranger and worked with Madonna in the past on titles such as “Don’t Tell me”, “Jump”, and “Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You”.

They also confirmed that MDNA will be available in two versions:
- Standard version (12 tracks)
- Deluxe version (17 tracks – 2CDs)
