I think Diddy bit hard from Prince's apple on this one. Just as he did with "Last Night" w/Keyshia Cole....

So I'm going to guess that Ready For the World's "Oh Sheila" was on the part I thread? Because I know some out of touch folks who could had sworn that was Prince and the song was about Shiela E. lol lol lol

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Roadblock

look it up folks, it was a white label back in the day, everyone thought Prince was involved, and then it was Stock Aitken Watermann, big boygroup producers in their day job - they must have had a laugh...

It really grows on you though. I tried to hate it because Frank Ocean is down with Tyler the Creator and I think the whole Odd Future camp is a bunch of evil devil worshippers, but I couldn't resist the song. There's some kind of malevolent magic involved with it, for real. Play it three times in a row and you'll love it.

Here's a good fake Prince song...

Besides the falsetto I hear it in the inflection and lyrics.

I'm often accused of hearing Prince in everything.

I just don't hear it in this. boxed

Also, what is the criteria? I'm not familiar with Pt 1 of this thread.

Is it just Prince-ly music? Or does "fake" mean it's a poor attempt at a Prince-ly sound?

Me on the right. Your boogieman Tyler on the left. One of the nicest, most chill, down-to-earth friendly cats I've ever met. And I've met him twice and kicked it with him and most of OF now.

Oh, and I know a lot about Satanism. Studied it intensely. You are so far off base it's hilarious.

But feel free to keep feeding the PR myth, it's working for them lol

Hey I didn't tell him to make that "Yonkers" video, or to name the album "Goblin" and put an upside down cross on it, or to go apeshit crazy in the back of that police car. If you don't want people to say you're satanic don't run around saying"I'm satan's son" and spray painting 666 on walls. Speaking of Three Sixes I don't like their asses either. I know it's a gimmick and blah, blah, blah but it's not cool and I don't have to support it.

Actually it didn't grow on me. I struggled through it the first time. I tried again after reading your response, and feel the same way, maybe even moreso. confused I'm not hearing it. It's lacking.

I'm on the org due to Prince & his falsetto. That's what hooked me from the beginning. Men singing in their upper register is what I like, my *thing* wink. So to Prince, Maxwell, & D'Angelo yes nod Going back even more, Bobby DeBarge, Eddie Kendricks, & Curtis Mayfield, nod, this one right here, no.

I like the idea of Prince-ly music instead.

I like this one from Rashaan Patterson. The background vocal arrangments reek Prince-ly-ish, but in a good way. music
