Well the "singers" which become famous from TV shows (popstars, Fame academy, Pop idol etc) usually are interesting only for a laugh and nothing more-however there are two exceptions both from Britain:
1)Sound Of The Underground-Girls Aloud:It's still pop but at its best. Great tune can't get enough of it.
2)I Can't Break Down-Sinead Quinn: Fame academy loser apparently wrote this song and it's sooo beautiful.You just have to listen to that. Reminds me a softer version of Dido. Fantastic
