Bobby Brown was asked to leave Whitney Houston's funeral today ... after he got into an argument with Whitney's family over whether or not he could bring nine people into the church with him ... TMZ has learned.
Brown was spotted going into the church today in Newark, NJ ... but was seen leaving shortly thereafter.
According to our sources, Brown was invited, plus two, but instead showed up with an entourage of nine people. We're told Bobby became upset when he found out they would not seat his whole party.
Our sources say Bobby wanted to sit with his daughter, Bobbi Kristina, but Whitney's family was not having it.
We're told Rev. Jesse Jackson tried to smooth things over ... but to no avail.

Is Bobby close to Bobbi Kris?
What is all the commotion re Pat saying CLive held Whitney together professionally? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries." |

Chancellor said: My Lord.....I am watching the Service and it's so Beautiful and wonderful going home service..... I am truly at a loss for words....This woman was my FIRST Celebrity crush when I was just 8yrs old...Whitney's Beauty and that Voice cast a Spell on the World.....Like others have said it seems so unreal that she is gone. One of the best things about Whitney's walk on this Earth is having touched so many and the Joy her Music brought into our Lives and especially the dedicated fans.. I said the same thing not long ago. My first celebrity crush at almost 8 years old... still can't believe she's gone. Stevie got a brotha crying over here. According to CBS news Bobby was inside the church and even went up to touch the casket but he left when they would not allow his entourage to be seated with him and the family. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. |

Which is why I said if I were Clive I would have declined to speak.
The other lengthy speaker was Costner. Which makes Clive look even worse.
Yes and even though Kevin only worked with her on one project, he seemed more moved by her than Clive did and Clive worked with her for multiple years.
Exactly!

So was it that he wanted his nine people to sit WITH him while he sat with his daughter, or was it that they said they had no room for 9 people to sit elsewhere in the church? Couldn't the two they said he could have with him (I'm guessing could had been his other children) just stayed as he calmly told the others to go while he stayed with his daughter? Aww hell, nevermind. Why bother.

Yeah, I hear you. He didn't need his whole entourage/family or whatever, and the number of guests allowed in with him should've been arranged way ahead of time. It all seems very childish.
Hearing Kelly on this song, I must say it's not too bad. I just wish he used his talent like this more than the immature bullshit he's been doing for the huge majority of his career. |

Chile, you know somebody always gotta act up at the funeral. From what I understood they would have let them be seated elsewhere in the church but not with the family. Why Bobby couldn't just chill for his daughter's sake is beyond me. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. |

Yeah it's unfortunate. But if its true the that family were still going to compromise by allowing the rest of his entourage sit elsewhere, then he should have complied. If his attitude wasn't right, then yeah maybe he was right to leave altogether, but its a shame he couldn't have done all he could to be there for his daughter.
