As far as I'm concerned, there is no single male singer today that has a voice as clear, pure, and beautiful as George's is. He can hold notes better than any singer out there, the clarity of his voice is amazing, and he doesn't need stupid computerized crap to make himself sound better.

I don't care what the man has gone through personally, every person in life has their demons to work through. But there is no way anyone can take away the talent this man has for music. "Through" is a wonderful song, how he sings it, and changes from note to note smoothly.... I don't think I've ever heard another singer ever that has that talent.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger.... WHAT???

I love Older. His coming out confession.

Songs From the Last Century is his least compelling disc.

I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I love Older too especially the leftovers like this one:

I always called this George's "Marvin moment".

i'm a big fan too! Listen Without Prejudice Vol 1 is an excellent record and I believe his best, IMO. Faith is also stellar.

The one thing that really impresses me is that he has the ability tobe really damn funky. Even a song like Bad Boys is f-f-f-f-funky as all hell. Freek, Hard Day, Monkey......that's some serious funk. I read somewhere that he's working on some dance tracks. I hope they're funky and don't pander to much to dance formulas.

Can't say I'm a George fan, but "One More Try" is my jam. Here's a great live performance of it:

Great voice!

i don't know why GM doesn't get as much appreciation here. he's a talented guy, writer, singer and musician. he put together wham! as a band to launch his career in a pop band orientated world instead of going solo, although he was the only lead singer. andrew hardly does anything on the records. if you look at his credits you'll see george is credited for playing most instruments on a lot of wham/gm tracks

he also had a similar falling out with his record company

as prince said before the 94 EMA's, "peace 2 george michael"

Add to that that George gave away the rights to "Last Christmas" to Andrew so that Andrew never has to worry about money. I think THAT is very cool, shows a lot of class and is practically unheard of in the music biz except for a few rare cases.

My favorite songs are :

Father Figure

Cowboys and Angels

Fastlove

Older

and many more.

I don´t support his drug habits but at least he´s honest and doesn´t beat around the bush about it, plus he seems to take it with a good portion of humor. He still comes across as a very smart and witty person despite all his drug escapades and I wish him nothing but the best for his future.

This man played a free concert in London for the hospital staff that treated his mother before she died, right? I like his humble side. And that documentary he did was very entertaining and interesting.

" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I have a very funny sort of George Michael story.

When I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, it was a very complicated pregnancy that landed me in the hospital for a month before she was born. Everyday I would be taken down for induced labor and she just wouldn't cooperate.

Anyway, she reacted badly to the medicine and would kick and move around almost as if in seizures, but one of the nurses was a big GM fan and had his music on heavy rotation on her mixed tape. When he would come on, my daughter would calm the hell down and I would have peace for 5 minutes.

To this day my daughter is a HUGE fan and says that GM is her real father. His voice still seems to calm her when she is upset.

Because of their half-baked mistakes, we get ice cream, no cake; all lies, no truth; is it fair to Kill the YOUTH ~~ Party Up

Timmy & kooleaze are right, say what you want about his mistakes in life. I love the fact George is very humble, he is caring towards a lot of other musicians. And is not full of himself from what i have seen, not mention even when he was kind of not fond of his Wham! day's. He was stll close with Andrew & well yes giving him the rights to Last Christmas will have him roling in green during the holiday season lol

English "pissed", i.e drunk, or American "pissed", i.e angry, or did he just pull out his willy and pee on stage? lol

I have a huge respect for GM as an artist.

Maybe the only thing I dislike is the loooooooooong gap between his albums.

He's just sooooo lazy.

But one of the things makes me love him the most is the amazing thing he does when he covers a song. He has this talent to make it his own.

Love his voice.

Really??? I don´t know U but I can agree with your comments over the years but this time....

NO WAY!!! I remember being dissapointed at first when I heard Older because it is a soft/soul album and I expected something else but after listening a few times...this is one of my all time fav albums!!

If only for Fastlove or Older...great songs and an album nobody expected from a former boysband singer!!!!

What concerns Wham! ; I liked Everything she wants and the later tracks but it wasn´t hip in the 80´s 2 admit U loved Wham! being a guy confused

George is in my top5....I just hope he survives his addictions sad
