I just love the songs that Timbaland did on this album. Again, being such a student of backing vocals... she's doing something different; she's doing so many vocals that there's never a space. Whenever one voice stops, another one does something in it's place - there's very little space and there are so many vocal parts that are breathy, you don't know what you're listening to. There's so much going on, you can't hear them with your conscious: you have to hear her voice with your subconscious. Even as a backup vocalist with a keen ear, I can't hear where one part's starting and one's ending because they're all overplaying all over the place. Some of them have a watery sound, then metallic; she really creates a lot of dimension with her vocals, and Timbaland's production does stuff that's very avant-garde, very abstract and yet, in this context of pop music, I'm impressed with that. Noise in a pop context is sucha beautiful thing to see.

My concern with vocalists today is that no 1 has seemed 2 have moved on from the "Full Moon" template Brandy created almost 10 years ago.

Both of those ladies are LOOKING GoooT! (real good)

Well Ima be honest Monica is the better singer.. However Brandy has a stronger catalogue of music... Monica has some gems but compared to Brandy not so much.

While Brandy doesnt have a strong voice she does have a nice tone and compared to alot of singers of today Beyonce, Rihanna etc she is able to convey real emotion and personality with songs like I Wanna Be Down and Full Moon....

I Wanna Be Down is classic...the edge the vocals everything about it was flawless... I love Monica as well but I can see why someone would prefer Brandy over her. Monica has a lovely voice one of the best of her generation to me and has a good catalogue as well.. While Monica has released recent music nothing she has released this decade tops Brandys Full Moon...

With that new vid Brandy seems to have matured tremendously vocal wise

What other singers have to say about other singers doesnt necessarily validate an arguement. Thats the same excuse alot of people use when people argue against comparisions with Usher, Justin, Beyonce, Stevie, Michael etc..... Its not about what another singers think because what they so call think might not be what they really think and its just said for publicity matters and besides it doesnt prove anything its just another opinion like ours.

Brandy is a good singer there is no validation needed.

FYI, I believe Nick was speaking in general when he said that he never heard anyone praising Brandy's vocals. Honestly, when has Brandy ever been praised for a powerful vocal performance by music critics? Nevermind a little mention from a celebrity on Twitter because they're clearly speaking on preference. When has Brandy been compared to a vocal giant like Whitney Houston?

How do you know if Nick was speaking about celebrity's in the first place? He could be talking about people in his own life or even music critics, not random celebs on Twitter. Just because you were able to copy and past a few tweets from celebs doesn't mean anything. Someone on here could easily do the same for Monica. You go take a nap, LoveJamba. Brandy is very overrated vocally, but I think she's better than Monica. You can literally find a girl that sounds like Monica at your local church choir.. Brandy's tone alone is something special.

Ok, I'm not trying to be mean, but if you don't know how to follow a conversation, you should stay out of it. Nick said he never heard of anyone praising Brandy's voice and neon agreed saying it's just "stans". Thus, the quotes from unbiased celebrities complimenting Brandy's vocals. It's really that simple.

Regardless I gave my 2cents on THAT particular post and I dont have to stay out of anything.

It doesnt matter. No matter how credible the artist who compliments the other artist are...

Brandy isnt the greatest singer in the galaxy but she can sing. Her stronger points are being able to show personality and emotion when she sings...
