My Aunt battled with Lupus in her 20's. Her health got so bad they thought she wouldnt live to see 30. By the time she was 34 Lupus began attacking her organs so powerfully and she went on Dialysis. She hated dialysis. My Aunt died from Lupus @ the age of 34.

I remember her suffering so much...Her skin darkened, she lost her hair, lost too much weight and depression set in....Her 3 kids was only ages 7, 10 & 12.....A lot of women that battle Lupus (Especially Black women) usually die in their 30's from the Disease....My co-workers Aunt is 75 and has lived with the Disease for 50yrs..God had truly Blessed her to live a long time...

Very rare that you hear about Black Men getting Lupus, it mainly attacks our Black Women.....Nick can afford the Greatest Health care & Medicine that Money can buy...He gave a great interview on the Pierce Morgan show the other night. He's strong and fighting back...

God Bless Nick...

I think Mariah is just high maintnence..and he's just trying to keep up with her lifestyle. rolleyes

How is he trying to keep up with her lifestlye when he's been working since he was a kid, was employed when he met her, and when they married was already listed with assets of over $45 million dollars? It sounds to me like the man simply enjoys working for a living.

Not all child stars are slouches living on their past glory like the Lindsay Lohans and Danny Bonaduces of the world. Some children in show business have been fortunate enough to have the guidance, support systems, and spiritual base of loving, sensible parents who not only invested well for their children's financial security, but also instilled a good work ethic in their offspring, encouraging not to rest on their laurels. Nick Cannon isn't the only one; people like Malcolm Jamal Warner, Raven Symone, The Mowry Twins, and Keisha Knight Pulliam are examples of others . Now mind you, if the man was not financially independent and able to care for his familywhether or not his wife chooses to ever step up to a microphone again, people would be calling him a leech and a bottom feeder. hammer

And if Mariah is high maintenance then so what? She's worth what, 250-300 million- so she can afford it and be as high maintenance as she wants. But make no mistake, she didn't exactly marry a bum, either and with the money that he accumulated even before they met, I don't think this dude would be paranoid about having to metaphorically get the girl an extra slice of cheese when they pop through Mickey D's.. hmm
