I just think they should count for the simple fact that Michael Jackson was the entire Jackson 5/Jacksons. If Michael was never born and they had 8 kids instead of 9, the Jacksons would still be living in Gary, Indiana right now. That group was literally nothing without Michael Jackson.

Tito was actually a really good guitar player, just couldn't sing at all. Marlon and Jackie were nothing more than dancers. Jermaine? Lol. Poor guy. To this day he doesn't realize he sucks at singing and that his music is garbage. Although he is a pretty good bass player- I have to give him that.

Marlon didn't have a top ten pop hit, just one song that only became a hit on the R&B charts. Tito never released a solo album or had a solo hit. Jermaine had two top ten hits (Daddy's Home and Let's Get Serious) on the Hot 100. Jackie never did.

Megaforce: Working with Madonna is like Working with the CIA

Megaforce, the producers of Madonna’s latest video “Give me all your Luvin’”, recently gave an interview to Swiss newspaper 20Minutes.

Here is a translation by Madonnarama:

About timing…

When we heard the news, we were very excited of course, but had to immediately start working.
The timing was very strict and we had to fly to New York very soon to shoot the video.
We were facing a well-oiled machine and had to find a way to be part of it, without being overwhelmed.

Shooting the video in New York…

Three police cars were continuously driving around the studio and bodyguards were in charge of the security on the set.
Whenever somebody took out a cell phone or camera, they were checking it.
During the whole process, we felt like we were working with the CIA. For instance, whenever we got pictures, they were telling us: “If we find this on the internet, we’ll know it’s coming from you.”
There was also a huge budget ($1.5 million) for the video.

Working with Madonna…

She is very involved in the project and gives her opinion on every decision.
Madonna has complete control. She wants to be the center of attention in the video. She’s very concerned with her looks in the video and wants to look beautiful.
We hadn’t planned to include the footage of her dancing in front of a wall, but she insisted.
We think it kills the narrative, because the final montage is not really our vision anymore. It’s hers.
She was impatient and wanted that everything revolved around her, but that’s it.
The second day of filming she left the studio early, because she had a photoshoot for her album cover the next day. We had to finish the last scene without her.
We expected her to be a diva, but she was more professional than anything else.

About retouching Madonna in the video…

Every female celebrity asks us to do some retouching on the video.
Extra lighting, more brightness, a bit of retouching of the figure are almost always included in every pop video these days.
Nicki Minaj had asked for her body to look like a plastic doll. She knew what her character should look like and did a great job. M.I.A. needed a bit more directing.
They both had a great connection with Madonna.
She was playing the mother role. Madonna sort of takes them under her wing and gives them advice.
It’s probably her way to stay in touch with the younger generation.

Madonna-2-15-12"Give Me All Your Luvin'," which Madonna performed with guests Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. at the Super Bowl on Feb. 5, jumps from #13 to #10 in its second week on the Hot 100. This is Madonna's first top 10 hit since "4 Minutes" (featuring Justin Timberlake) ended an 11-week run in June 2008.

This nearly four-year gap between top 10 hits is the longest dry spell of Madonna's career. Her previous longest gap between top 10 hits came between her James Bond theme "Die Another Day," which peaked at #8 in November 2002, and her dance hit "Hung Up," which peaked at #7 in December 2005.

"Give Me All Your Luvin'" is Madonna's 38th top 10 hit. This extends her lead as the artist with the most top 10 hits in the rock era, which began in 1955. Elvis Presley is in second place, with 36 top 10 hits. (Little-known fact: Elvis died on Madonna's 19th birthday: Aug. 16, 1977.) The Beatles are in third place with 34 top 10 hits.

While Madonna's last two top 10 hits have been collabos, she had no duet partners on her first 36 top 10 hits.

Madonna landed her first top 10 hit, "Borderline," nearly 28 years ago, in June 1984.

"Give Me All Your Luvin'" includes a reference to "Lucky Star," which in October 1984 became Madonna's first top five hit on the Hot 100. Many other artists have referred to previous hits in their work. The Beatles' 1967 hit "All You Need Is Love" references their 1964 smash "She Loves You." Sting's 1985 hit "If You Love Somebody Set Them Free" references The Police's 1983 classic "Every Breath You Take."

Two Madonna classics are listed on Hot Digital Songs in the first full week after her Super Bowl performance. Her 1989 smash "Like A Prayer" zooms from #112 to #38. Her 1990 smash "Vogue" re-enters at #160. "Prayer" has sold 690K digital copies. "Vogue" has sold 450K.

In addition, the Glee rendition of Madonna's 1987 hit "La Isla Bonita" enters the Hot 100 at #99.

Kelly Clarkson's "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" tops the Hot 100 for the second week in a row. Clarkson's two previous #1 hits ("A Moment Like This" and "My Life Would Suck Without You") also had two weeks on top. "Stronger" tops the 1 million mark in digital sales this week.

Adele's former #1 hit "Set Fire To The Rain" holds at #2 for the second week. Both of her previous #1 hits rebound in the wake of her Grammy sweep. "Someone Like You" jumps from #22 to #11 in its 32nd week. "Rolling In The Deep" leaps from #44 to #17 in its 58th week. All three songs are listed in the top 10 on Hot Digital Songs. "Set Fire To The Rain" drops from #2 to #4 (187K), "Someone Like You" rebounds from #23 to #9 (128K) and "Rolling In The Deep" rebounds from #39 to #10 (126K). This marks the first time that a lead artist has had three songs in the top 10 on this chart since Michael Jackson's songs exploded in the weeks after his death in June 2009. In the week after his death, he had six of the top 10.

"We Are Young" by fun. featuring Janelle Monae vaults from #41 to #3 in its eighth week on the Hot 100. The song sold 296K copies this week, which is the largest one-week total by any song so far in 2012. The song was featured in a Chevrolet commercial that aired during the Super Bowl. The song was also spotlighted on Glee on Dec. 6. The Glee version has sold 326K copies in 10 weeks.

LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It" rebounds from #9 to #4 in the first full week after the group's cameo appearance with Madonna at the Super Bowl. The Glee version of the song (featuring Ricky Martin) debuts at #81. That's inspired casting because Martin was sexy (and he knew it) when he became an overnight pop star on the Grammys in February 1999 with a hip-shaking performance of "La Copa De La Vida (The Cup Of Life)."

LMFAO's previous hit, "Party Rock Anthem" (featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock) this week becomes the first song in digital history to sell 6 million copies in its first year of release. The song tops that plateau in its 48th week, faster than any of the seven previous songs to sell that many digital copies. The old record was held by Adele's "Rolling In The Deep," which topped the 6 million mark in its 54th week.

Whitney Houston's 1992 smash "I Will Always Love You" re-enters the Hot 100 at #7, based on just one full day's worth of explosive sales and airplay following Houston's death on Saturday. Two other Houston hits also re-enter the chart. "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" re-opens at #35. "Greatest Love Of All" re-appears at #41. These were among 22 Houston hits that showed up this week on the top 200 Hot Digital Songs chart.

"I Will Always Love You" sold 195K copies this week, which brings the song's digital sales total to 1,105,000. That's probably less than you assumed, but bear in mind that Houston hadn't been "hot" in years.

"I Will Always Love You," which was certified for sales of 4 million physical singles in January 1993, is Houston's first digital million-seller. Her next four biggest digital hits (not just this week, but counting their entire runs) are: "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" (583K), "Greatest Love Of All" (371K), "How Will I Know" (300K) and "I Have Nothing (287K).

All the hits are included in the legacy of each artist, but to summarize solo work and group work - is wrong because it is two separate acts.
This has huge advantages too.
For example, Paul, John and Michael are included in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice ...

Whitney Houston returns to the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 this week as her signature hit from 1992 -- it reigned for 14 weeks -- "I Will Always Love You" re-enters at No. 7, fueled by an enormous resurgence in digital sales (195,000, up 6723%, according to Nielsen SoundScan) and radio airplay (18 million audience impressions, up 915%, according to Nielsen BDS).

Houston places two other former No. 1s on the chart: "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)" (from 1987) at No. 35 and "Greatest Love of All" (1986) at No. 41.

While historically, catalog or recurrent songs have not been eligible for inclusion on the Hot 100, this is not the first time Billboard has charted such activity. As recently as 2001, following the attacks of Sept. 11, the Hot 100 welcomed Lee Greenwood's 1984 country hit "God Bless the USA" and Houston's spine-tingling rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner," the latter of which had reached the chart's top 20 a decade earlier. At the time, the inclusion of these songs properly captured the musical mood as the nation reacted to that tragic day.

"As the digital age has progressed," says Billboard director of charts Silvio Pietroluongo, "with the immediacy it provides, the line has blurred between the relevancy of new and older recordings, which are for the most part equally accessible from one's home computer."

"Going forward we feel that it is the proper move to allow older titles posting enough activity to return to the Hot 100 if ranking in the chart's upper half." (Billboard's policy of removing descending songs from the Hot 100 after 20 weeks if ranking below No. 50 remains unchanged).

Houston's posthumous chart activity is hardly the only headlines on this week's Hot 100.

Kelly Clarkson logs a second week at No. 1 on the Hot 100 with "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)," which claims top Airplay Gainer honors for a second week. The song soars 15-7 on Radio Songs (76 million, up 31%). On Digital Songs, "Stronger" slips 1-2, although with a 10% gain to 260,000.

Adele's former two-week No. 1 "Set Fire to the Rain" holds at No. 2 on the Hot 100. The song becomes her third No. 1 on Radio Songs, following "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You," as it gains by 7% to 136 million. "Rain" drops 2-4 on Digital Songs but with a 14% improvement to 187,000.

Following its exposure in Chevrolet's Sonic Super Bowl ad Feb. 5, fun.'s "We Are Young," featuring Janelle Monae, vaults 41-3 as the Hot 100's top Digital Gainer for a second week, powering 22-1 on Digital Songs (296,000 downloads, up 338%). On last week's Hot 100, the song had bounded 63-41, fueled by early sales gains owed to its TV limelight (as last week's sales tracking period ended mere hours after the Super Bowl the night of Feb. 5).

After LMFAO performed with Madonna as part of the Super Bowl's halftime show, the duo's former two-week No. 1 "Sexy and I Know It" rebounds 9-4 on the Hot 100. (The "Glee" cast's cover of the self-confidence [confi-dance?] anthem, featuring Ricky Martin, concurrently debuts at No. 81).

Flo Rida's "Good Feeling" descends 3-5 on the Hot 100; Rihanna's former 10-week topper "We Found Love," featuring Calvin Harris, drops 4-6; David Guetta's "Turn Me On," featuring Nicki Minaj, slides 5-8; and, Tyga's "Rack City" falls 7-9.

Rounding out the top 10, Madonna's "Give Me All Your Luvin'," featuring Nicki Minaj and M.I.A, bounds 13-10 on the Hot 100 to become Madonna's record-extending 38th top 10. (The Beatles ranks second with 34).

"Luvin'" jumps 7-6 on the Digital Songs survey with 165,000 downloads sold (up 44%) in the list's tracking week. The period encompassed the first full week following Madonna's Super Bowl halftime performance.
