Was this THE best produced song of the 70s??
so ahead of its time...too many sounds and textures, a bass which doesn't sound like a 70s bass, perfect mix of electronic and organic instruments
discuss...

I'm sure I will catch hell for this but I have never liked the sound of that song. It's too cold and sterile sounding, which may be intentional but I still don't like it. I would say that it is not even the best produced song on that album.

Huh, that's quite a bit more charitable than the torches and pitchforks I expected.

My favorite Stevie Wonder album, but not a big fan of this song. Ahead of it's time yes, but to me it seems more like a song for M. I. A then someone like Stevie Wonder.

There were so many well-produced songs of the 70s, that it is hard to really nail point one particular one. This whole masterpiece and Stevie's legendary run in the 70s was unmatched production-wise. But this song, in particular, is ahead of its time. Just goes to show that Stevie's vision back in the day was unlimited and undeniably brilliant. Check me out and add me on:

Something by The Carpenters or Abba. Their production is amazing.
