Watching Rhianna, and my gf said "this whole song is one line over and over!"
I said "it's a good line at least!" My Legacy

As silly as the grammys are, there is at least the pretense of these being an award based on merit, and not only about popularity.
Obviously that is not entirely true. But they are head and shoulders above any other music awards. My Legacy

Did anyone see Nicki Minaj's face when she lost for Best New Artist? It was fucking hilarious. That bitch better be glad she even got a nomination.

Who won over her? | |

Bon Iver. He gave a really odd acceptance speech

Bon Iver is the band's name. That guy, Justin Vernon, is the lead singer. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Justin Vernon and his band won the category of best new artist. They released their debut album in 2007. Go figure.

Make that two decades. The chick from Shalamar won it in the late 80s (forgot which year).

I liked it and was glad they won over Nikki.

The great performances (And my favorites of the night):
Bonnie & Alicia-I like that Alicia sang in her range (She should always do that!) Bonnie is an older artist that kept it real. Adele-What a stage presence for a new artist at such a young age!! (Besides a good voice) Jennifer Hudson-Nailed it.
Very Good: Bruno-Nice James Brown performance. Put a twist and be you Bruno. (Prince did-You can too) Foo fighters-Fun and energetic. (Not a huge fan of the lead singers voice).
Disappointing Crap: Chris Brown: Besides the crap lip sync-not that great of a dance routine. Chris Brown just doesn't have the singing voice.
Nikki M. -Just utter crapfest. It was like watching a very bad musical.
Beachboys-Was like watching drying paint. You get a high from them being Beach Boys (and all that great music of years past.), but it was just about as much fun as watching the paint dry.
Paul Mcartney: I love McCartney music-but he has never been an oustanding performer. His first song was boring and life sucking.
The "dance" performance sucked monkey balls. The worst music -unless your high on something.
Rihanna-Crap lip sync with mediocre dancing. --------------- Bruce did okay.

LOL.. I hate that look (she looks too much like Tina Turner and when I think of Tina Turner I think of people the age of my grandmoms, which is a total boner killer). But yeah, I'd still hit her, I mean, hit that.. Change it one more time..

I don't care what age she is, I'd do Tina Turner right now. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

@ladygaga: What a beautiful night last night was, Adele deserved every award she won and perhaps an extra one for being such a kind and lovely woman.

Dude.. Nicki looks tore UP. What did she do to her face? Is she gonna end up addicted to plastic surgery like Lil Kim? Change it one more time..

She IS ending up addicted to plastic surgery...

He does look different, definitely not as sexy as usual.
But he can still get it! | |

Who's gonna replace her that's just as flashy and popular (mind, I've never seen her live or heard her so I'm not so sure)? Somehow, I doubt that it's Adele, Duffy (where the heck is she, and why didn't she make it in the USA?) Regina Spektor, Arcade Fire, or Bon Iver. The fisrt two are amazing, the last three aren't the kind of artists the general public could get behind (especially the black general public, who were incensed at the Bon Iver win and last years's Arcade Fire win: check out the collected Tweets-http://www.buzzfeed.com/m...s-bon-iver and http://whoisarcadefire.tumblr.com/.)
I hope that both groups don't end up like Christopher_Cross-but considering that both bands are signed to independent labels, that may not happen.
